My 01 surges with the cruise on at any highway speed. If I take the cruise off and hold my foot in one spot and it will hold speed and boost. With the cruise on it is back and forth between 11-17 psi. Any suggestions?

Is your's run off the vacuum or ECM? If it's vacuum controlled you might have a leak. The actuator is under the driver side battery. Check all the vacuum lines to see if you have any leaks. Let us know if it is ECM controlled..

i agree..under the driver side battery there is what is called the cruise control servo..it has a hard 5/32 or 7/32 ...dont remember what size line...running from there up to a vacuum header that is hanging out of the hood to cowl seal..right above the valve cover.that line can crack...come out of the little 90 degree elbow at the servo.hope this helps you out.

Oh... Another trick... The plastic tubing... Remove the full length of it from end to end... Now flex the tubing and roll the flex down the length looking for splits. Don't kink it or fold it... just put a heavy bend in it and if the tube is split it will show up quick! On my Mom's 96 it split the tube but would randomily work and not. Well after flexing the tubing the split showed up so I replace the piece and the problem solved.

Bigger injectors bigger turbos and a dying VP44 are all possible cruise surging causes also. My 02 started surging as the very first sign of the VP44 dying a few days later it got the hard start when warm issue then a few days later I lost the throttle. Chrysler bought that one for me though as it was still under warranty at 40k.
