  • I used the power steering to pop my wheel bearings out. Wish I had known about it the first time I did it. Liked to never got them out the first time. Anti seize has kept that from happening again. Ha

I got a 99 2500 with the old school setup. Hub and rotor held together by the wheel studs. Just replace the pads and rotors and speed sensors today.

Any special trick to getting the axle nut to break loose? I have already broke 3 breaker bars in my futile attempts.

I was able to move the nut just enough to mot be able to put cotter pin back in. Which means it is now inoperable. Thankfully I still got the motorcycle to run to town and exchange tools and test the lifetime warranty on them.

Harbor freight 3/4"  breaker bar and a 4 foot stick of metal pipe to slip over it

I was afraid that was going to be the answer.  Awesome. I really hate thay store. I always wind up buying way to much crap that I didn't intend to.

love the quote.

I have always used the jack handle from my floor jack as a breaker bar.  It fits right over my ratchet handle.  This is what I used to do mine.

I did this to my 3/4" ratchet and bent the handle of the ratchet. Be careful on the amount of force your apply when using a cheater bar.
