I have a issue with my Juice I think. I’m not to concerned about it because I’m getting rid of the edge and going back for another Qaudzilla. So i went to check my wire tap and promptly lost the posi tap piece. Ordered a new one and reconnected it and seems rather slow compared to the first time I tapped it?? Any ideas? No codes or anything. Almost seems like a dead pedal but not really. Definitely has more power than without wire tap though so I lm sure it’s getting fuel. Fuel pressure is 18 at idle and 13 15 wot.

  • I have said this on a few occasions, but I think the "edge sucking" is not related to the edge.  You have said bad things about every tuner you have had in the last month.   this makes me think someth

  • Get a live data tool on the truck, clear codes, take the truck out and drive it hard.  You should see boost max out at ~14 psi on the live data tool.    If you see more than that then you know the boo

  • @Mopar1973Man  guessing by his screenname his truck is a 00, the map reads correct on a 00 truck using the equation I posted in that link.

Did you see the previous post? I didn’t complete the test I had to go but on one of the wires I was not getting continuity. I would think it throw codes to if there was a issue.

Got hold of a scan gauge now I’m waiting for a sitter cable. So i don’t want to see the scan gauge read over 14 psi of turbo boost?

Ill be finishing the p0122 testing tonight but like I said earlier I was not getting continuity on one of the wires. Would this cause a lack of power?

Well I’m not sure what too say about this but I was gone for the weekend and got home last night. Drive to work this morning and it in to head home. I got on it in 6th gear and saw 28 psi of booost. Why didn’t I see anymore than 20 when I pegged it last time!? Prepping to replace map and reset apps in a little...

Also seems like it has quite a bit more power too but I’m not sure if it’s as powerful as it should be...

Well guys I installed the map sensor and reset the apps and I think I have the problem fixed! Took it for a ride and no codes and good power! I’ll let you know if anything else comes up! Thanks for the help! :burnout:

He never even changed the MAP sensor. It's possible the data from the sensor is too low and not reporting real boost. It could be a boost fooler problem of the Edge Juice. This boost fooler failure does happen...

old maps sensors can get "sticky"  that would be my guess.

We will be checking the boost cooler when I get my splitter

This happened before I changed the sensor...

Splitter is not letting juice and scan gauge connect at the same time.

Too much traffic on the bus. So... What I would do is start the truck with just the Edge Juice plugged in leave it idle for few minutes to settle down then plug in the ScanGauge II and it should hook up then.

Something else happened to me today. I pulled out on the highway and felt a sudden surge of power and it stopped almost instantly! What is this? Fuel pressures are good

There are only two things that cause dead pedal...

1. APPS sensor. Typically there is a P0121, P0122 or P0123 code with the dead pedal.

2. VP44. It could produce dead pedal like problems too but doesn't have to throw codes.

Now without read back over the entire thread did you ever do a AC noise test?

  • Author

I did not do that. I’ll do that tonight if I can. One thing I want to check is if the wiretap has a good connection the power surge makes me think thT that may have something to do with it

Ac noise can cause all sorts of issues in all the computers.

Its not likely but can help point to the solution
