I just so happened to come across diesel power source coming out with a electricly controlled vgt housing for s300 or 400 haven't seen price yet but makes u wonder supposed to speed up spool by 300 rpms and have exaust brake down fall is they only make it for a 71 and bigger turbine wheel but I'd love to test one

cool stuff, but I dont like the design.  the cummins / holset version is better than the powerstroke method.  Wonder what the insides look like

Power stroke style and meh there both problematic it is rebuildable looked likes it pulls apart with a few socket head cap screws and they say preformance not stock so sooty hot motors exceeding 1600 degrees I'd hope it would survive

Still interested in how they do

I might do one on my s362 we will c my truck would be a good test truck but full time student and work don't leave much extra

I think I would rather stick to a Holset. I've changed too many Borg Warner turbos with oil seal failures on the cold side on the PowerJokes especially the 6.0. It's a pain to clean a CAC after a cold side oil seal failure.

If you do get one do us a favor and pull the plates apart so we can see the workings of the vanes.   I dont like the seperate vanes because there are  A LOT of moving parts.

Agreed.  I see stuck unison ring issues in the future of many of these units.

@04Mach1, 6.0 trucks had Garrett turbos.  6.4 had the factory compounds from Borg. (which were still problematic)

Meh we will c I'm going to schied diesel extravaganza this year hopefully dps is there showing one off I would love to see one in person

Tho then again a hx35 is a stout turbo been proven thousands of times and I had a modded hx now compare that to my sxe I won't buy another hx Borg Warner I'd a decent company also and I've seen all the vgt and vnt fail from semi holsets to powerstrokes ur going from something fixed to moving parts there I'd bound to be issues but no the less

Thanks for the correction. I forgot the 6.0 used Garrett.
