Posted July 29, 201014 yr Nice addition to the site but I have a Q?How is it that WV, VA & KY are Great Lake states and MN is not? I can see Lake Superior from my back porch. What great lake borders Kentucky?or is my geography off.
July 29, 201014 yr I just googled USA regions, there was many different ways it was split up but that one looked the best. There will always be controversy on any way it is categorized, can't avoid it. If you have a better way of doing it though, post up a map sectioned off for us to consider :hyper:I started with bigger regions (4 or 5) but that ended up making the top and bottom states very far away, decided this one was best as it would make everyone in any region within a tank of fuel away.
July 29, 201014 yr Author I'm just having some fun. (notice all the smiles?) I know MN is considered the "Mid-West" ,"north central" or a "great lake state" seeing as it borders one of them. But come on KY and VA? even if you stood on a beer can you couldn't see a great lake from there. ]http://etc.usf.edu/maps/galleries/us/regional/index.htm or http://www.enchantedlearning.com/usa/statesbw/regions.shtml just say'en..
July 29, 201014 yr when i typically hear people say "the south", or "backwards southerner". they usually are referring to http://www.enchantedlearning.com/usa/statesbw/south/south.shtml
