Changed fuel filters and put s&b intake on with brand new interstate batterys

I just changed out my air filter and batteries also. Stock air filter and Napa Group 8434/78. I didn't want/need the side post 78's but they only had one 8434. I don't like batteries with the standard caps, they are high maintenance in a closed environment. Also changed engine and  rear axle oil.

What didnhose genuine Cummins battery’s run you for price? I assume you installed those in a second gen? 

Retail is approx $140 inc core charge for these Cummins  Group 31 batteries. They're either East Penn or JCI-USA made, a bit tweaked for better deep cycle capabilities considering they're starting batteries, but I get a better warranty from my Cummins/Onan industrial rep.

 

They're single batteries for the first gen tray; the second gens use dual Group 27s.
