So i decided I wanted to play a bit today, and tried to change my tune from the economy to the fun tune (just using downloaded tunes from here until I can afford to get it tuned). No matter what I do, it's stuck on the economy tune. It acts like it's loading the tune I want, but when I check the tune page, it's still on economy. 

Do I need to reset the program, or the box? 

No reset needed.  You should be able to switch on the fly.  Not sure what the problem is with yours. 

Try deleting the tune then try hooking back up to the Quadzilla. If you can get back in then reload the tune again. Mistakes of values in the wrong spots can hang the app. At the worst you would end up uninstalling the iQuad app and starting over.
