I just rebuilt a he351ve and wish I had taken pics of the center section before I cleaned it up. I got this turbo in 2016 from a diesel shop and supposedly the guy never changed his oil in 90k miles. This stuff was nasty but somehow the bearings weren’t too bad. Anyway, this is why we change oil regularly 

Holy chit. I've actually been considering moving to an oil sample based system for "when" to change oil, but, then I consider how much it costs in the grand scheme of things... And then I just go to my garage and change my oil.

Honestly not as bad as I would expect for 90K mikes on only 3 gallons of oil. 
 

WTF was he thinking thou? There are oil change reminders on 2016’s.
