I haven’t had a chance to look yet but my 98 12v should have two wires connecting to the tach pickup at the balancer. I need to tap into the wire with no voltage but I want to tap into it up on the fire wall. I’m horrible with wiring and color blind so can someone point me to which wire and it’s location, I need to tap into?

Does it show which has voltage or not?

my grandpa used to wire air planes so I’ll get him to take a look at it too.

Use the gray/black wire, pin #24 at the PCM.  The orange wire has the voltage and the black/lite blue is the signal reference

There are 3 plugs going into the pcm and they all have 32 pins. It looks to me like only the plug on the left has a little metal ring in pin 24 but no grey/black wire.

I tapped into what I thought was the grey/black wire right off the balancer but I guess it was the wrong one because I get zero one engine speed. 2 more wires to go :lmao:
