Pump has failed due to in tank pump. I'm in process of rebuilding a lot on this new to me truck. Back when I replaced all the old stock stuff on my old truck I went with the Bluechip pump and have had no problems at all for a good 10 years now. Just checking the opinions out there on who may have the best pump for the money or what are your thoughts. Thanks

I've been purchasing @dieselautopower injection pumps now for years and always had good results. There has only been 1 pump I can remember getting and had to send back because it was bad. Other than that Diesel Auto Power is selling Bosch Certified pumps.

So all the hype about the hp improvements with Bluechip not so much?

Sorry to say but Blue Chip isn't a Bosch Certified rebuilder the last I checked being he selling VP44 with used PSG which is not allowed by any certified rebuilder they are suppose to core out the PSG of every unit according to Bosch standards.

I stick with Bosch Certified rebuilders which typically have the highest standards being they are bench tested for over 3 hours per unit and the NEW PSG is flashed with all the calibration data after it passes all test. So the chances of a bad VP44 are extremely low. Again since BC is selling used PSG that means the flash is not done for calibration and the PSG is already weak from heat cycles and never been bench tested so it may fail shortly afterwards.

Wow good to know. We have a company here in Austin, Tx called Austin injection and they have a machine and they rebuild pumps and from the looks of the machine and the room that house's it they must be able to do all that. You might remember years ago I called you from there and they were trying to trouble shoot that motor I had that drove everyone crazy for a year. Anyway I'll go investigate them and see if they are a certified rebuilder.
