Figured AH64 or someone else might know. This thing flys over our house at least once a week.

I didn't have any idea about the speeds of them all, other than wikipedia which tells a different story than you, but I know how wikipedia is :lmao:

Max vs cruise are two very different animals.

Here is what wiki says, which still shows the chinook as being slow. I like to think wikipedia is right but someone with first hand experience will always dominate anything wikipedia says, to me anyways. I wonder where they got their stats though. Apache http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ah64#Specifications_.28AH-64A.2FD.29 Never exceed speed: 197 knots (227 mph, 365 km/h) Maximum speed: 158 knots (182 mph, 293 km/h) Cruise speed: 143 knots (165 mph, 265 km/h) Chinook http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CH-47_Chinook Maximum speed: 170 knots (196 mph, 315 km/h) Cruise speed: 130 kt (137 mph, 220 km/h) Black Hawk http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UH-60_Black_Hawk Never exceed speed: 193 knots (222 mph, 357 km/h) Maximum speed: 159 kn (183 mph, 295 km/h) Cruise speed: 150 kn (173 mph, 278 km/h)

Mission weights and profiles will change cruise, so its hard to pin that number down..The data on the CH-47 looks slow.
