So as per video - heres a couple wiring questions

1) Would tapping into the 20A lighter fuse be a good place for my switched ignition source

2) I have 2 grounds for this setup. 1 for pump and 1 for controller. Whats the bet way to ground these -> just same as my tranny cooler and ground it to the frame somewhere ?

3) I want to get an LED low-fluid light to run off my existing low fluid sensor in the windshield reservoir. Assume I can just buy a 12v LED light and run to cab - but then how to share the switch ? Just splice it ?

hey man - no problem - will add a few more along the way - hope to get done this weekend. I bought this one 2nd hand of CF. Is a 2nd Stage snow performance kit. Seemed that everyone liked snow and devilsown for quality ..... and AEM/coolingmist for price. Maybe devilsown seemed to get the overall win. will let you know how it feels - supposedly if tuned ok on a 30-50% methanol mix can get an extra 40-70 HP and lower egt's. :wow:

wow thats awesome i would like to know how well that performs as well. power/mpg and the videos are awesome!!!

As for what I did in my truck was simple... There is only 3 wires running in the cab for power... I've got a 14 AWG wire straight from the batteries with a 20 Amp fuse. Then I tapped only 1 fuse for a trigger and put a relay on it switching the battery lead to follow the key so there is no internal loading of the stock wiring. Then I pulled a ground from the battery as well but all 3 wires are ran to a terminal board behind the knee bolster so I've never got to mess with fuse or otherwise again...

thanks mate For me - is there a simpleton way to do it ? Kinda like what I said ? Can I just use the cigarettelighter 20A fuse and piggyback off of that for a power source when switched ? Or one of the others ? Would like to understand the auto electronics better one day --- but that ain;t gonna happen today. :lmao2: Especially reducing the load via relays/boards ....... I understand teh concept - but not the practice :)

Well got the 7gallon tank built with 1/4 OD quick connect fittings, pump mounted in bed and high pressure/temp 1/" injection line fed and mounted into engine bay. Got toggle switch mounted and power wire run under cab. So still gotta*) Wire up the controller to power in cab and bolt id down behind the emergency brake pedal.*) Drill and TAP my air-intake manifold elbow*) Buy some decent methanol mix. in AZ not as easy to come by at -20c.TEST :hyper:Then buy and install a check valve and maybe a low fluid level sensor+LED.

That is a nice setup John.

You stole my water jug out of the back of my truck...

yeah a lot cheaper than the $100 kit snow sells I'll ship ya a new1 :thumbup2:

ok - ALL done :thumbup2:

Looks like around 100 degree reduction (@850 EGT) in EGT with H20.

Couldn't do much testing as I busted the clamp on the intakehorn - so was worried about building too much boost once I noticed it started to slip a little on my return trip.

So will get some methanol - and post some figures soon.

Side question - where do I get the metal band clamp on the bottom of the intakehorn ???

Anyone got a part# ??

thanks

Someone picked up 7 gallons of methanol today . $2.20 gallon. Will have her tested tomorrow morning .......... still need a bit of tuning on my injectors I think ....... but going to wait until I get my +75's in which just arrived today. :thumb1: Then if it all works out .......... get me one of these for the RV as well as my silver bullet. http://www.a1-water-distiller.com/

Update.Had some trouble adjusting the flow ...... tended to overfuel at certain points. Think I am getting closer to a good spray now. Had to play with the settings a bit."Guessing" around 150 drop in EGT and +40-+50 HP when in full spray. So all n all its not been too bad ......... I need to setup a better test (like a big hill) to determine EGT's a bit more accurately.:thumb1:

i know where there is some at...head north out of phoenix on interstate 17...as you get closer to flagstaff the mountains start to ramp up in elevation.
