I recently bought a 02 Dodge 2500 4wd auto, bone stock w/ 58,000 miles. I was driving it today and it won't stay in overdrive. About 55-60 mph or 1500-1700 rpm seems to be the worst about kicking in an out. I was on flat roads maintaining a steady speed. I'm new to auto transmissions behind a Cummins but this don't seem right.Help or suggestions appreciated.

That could be anything from the APPS to your brakelight switch to 'noise' in the electrical wiring. Try holding up on the brake pedal to eliminate the brake light switch. Check all the grounds and clean the battery terminals. I know it doesn't seem right, but cleaning the battery terminals has fixed more than one.

Im with ^^^^^, I bet cleaning your terminals will fix it.

Definately try cleaning the terminals - but I thought most electrical issues are around to noise in the lockup solenoid - which happens around 45 when in OD. So I would be thinking more like speed sensor or valve pressures - or something in the OD unit itself. But really have no idea. Wait for W&F to get here and 411 it
