Have to change my ac condensor .some good ideas

Before for you start make sure to deal with the freon if any in the system. Simple job really everything unbolts but the one freon line which requires a release collar.

How do I open the release collar ,do I need to have a special tool , recieved my ac condensor today or purchace a new release collar.Thank You

These are all you would need. These happen to be from NAPA, LINK. You can get them from any auto parts store.

Just be sure to capture the the freon. There is extreme pressure in there.

Freon is gone.the condensor is cracked
