Posted September 7, 201113 yr I must have goofed the install, thou it made it miles over 7K miles, of which over 3K were towing before it popped... About a 5 minute fix. I was able to still easily hold 65 and get to work at about 800° and 2-3 psi.
September 7, 201113 yr You may need to cut back on the "adult beverages" whilst doing important installs in the future!!!:smart::lmao:Just kidding, could happen to anyone...........even me!!!!:cool:Glad it wasn't serious!!
September 7, 201113 yr Author My guess is that I had the bottom part of the clamp sitting on the lip and after 7K miles of boost cycles it slowly moved back. I know boot was fully seated and the clamp in the proper spot on the top. I don't make any more boost than stock, just much better flow, so I know it's not too much. I was fully expecting to see a ripped boot when I popped the hood, so an easy fix was quite nice.
