I had to take some time guys and gals to blow my horn a bit and share the good news... forum.mopar1973man.com broke over 14,000 visitors a month and over 536 visitors just in the last day. When I fired up the vBulletin 3.86 back almost 2 years ago I was only bringing 150 visitors a day... So thank you for coming to the site and becoming a member and sharing your stories and asking questions you guys and gals are the ones that are making all happen and I got to say "Thank You!"As for the static pages the stats are low and weak and thats to be expect being the old side of the site is mostly gone and deleted and the new side is just coming to life and getting rolling. I do have to thank you guys and gals for dropping link on other site to share the information. As for its stats it taking about 1,000 visitors in a month and about 140 visitors in a day. I know with some time it will grow. Speaking about growing some of you have gotten your accounts on the article side and I thank you for taking time and going over the information poointing out errors or information that needed updating. Once again thank you all for helping Mopar1973Man.Com grow...

I got to thank all you family members here because I can't do it all by myself either. It was a family effort from all the members here. The big change and growth change for Google was done when some of you updated your signature and spelled out everything. Take a look at my signature to get a understand of what I mean. http://forum.mopar1973man.com/threads/6127-Members-Request-Signatures I've been watching the keyword count and search query count and they been growing slowly. Then I caught a software error on my part but vBulletin 4 has a ability to display a simple form of the site in just text and was used by search engines in the past because of URL limitations. Now since I change the URL address to be human readable I gain points with Google in that part but lost points over duplicate information. So now I killed off the duplicate pages and now gain even more ground. Kind of like CF.com archive part... http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/archive/index.php/ I disabled this part to keep the site from running duplicate information. So I continue to keep an eye on Google Webmaster stats and keep looking correct any errors or mistakes to keep up rolling strong. :burnout2:

thanks for making this place possible Mike.

Great, Mike. The site is great and I am glad for you. However, I want to say one thing. I will only say this once, and then stop raining on your parade. I've seen many great forums die as they get "discovered" and go more mainstream. The tards show up, and crap all over the site, irritate the old knoledgable guys, and sometime later... their mom cuts off the internet to the basement or school starts and they leave after doing their damage. :) The only sites i've seen live through this is through agressive moderation in clearing out the idiots. But at any rate, the mods, and you have done a great job here. And I thank you for making a site that I find so useful and technically interesting.

Not raining on my parade... :smart: There is a reason why I attract a particular type of person or member. That's why there is very little discussion about racing or performance. This is based on the keywords and search queries. I've been watching for certain queries and watching for changes that might point this out. So far there few people that cause trouble the moderators have dealt with the issues promptly and quietly. As for the family members most are older folks and come to get help in what ever project or problem then disappear for a period time till the next problem comes along. Not like CF.com or DB.com where guys come every day and keep pushing bigger and more HP/TQ and competing with everyone on the site. So all I got to say is atomsphere is the reason why we haven't had the problems with "tards" as you put it.

Back to CSM comment earlier. I've done more thinking about your comment and to show from my end about how the site is designed and trapping people from creating the dis-harmony take a peek at this. 1,722 Limited Members 210 Standard members 124 Donated Members So there is only a small handful of member that actually stuck it out and stayed on the site really. 1,722 members have basically came in got some help and left again. 210 Member have come and posted more than 20 times and have not donated. Then 124 members have stuck it out and donated to the site. I've got 66 members stuck in email verification problems. (Invalid email address given) I've got 15 mmeber banned from the site. I've got 9 vendors listed on the site. I've got 1 tech specialist. And 3 member that have work hard and donated more time than most with 3 Premium Members. This wild and wacky system of security seems to keep the troublesome people out because like most site they figure if I register up I get acess to everything instantly. WRONG! You got to earn that right here with a few easy limits in place. Rarely and I mean rarely I get a complaint of how the system is ran. Typically I post it up in the web site forum for other to comment on and most here are happy with the current system of limits. http://forum.mopar1973man.com/threads/5258-Download-limit-issues

Sounds great Mike. :thumb1: As I said, I only wanted to mention it because I like this place. You and the mods here do a great job, and I am happy to see it grow. Part of the paranoia may stem from my time as a moderator on a very large gun forum. There, I see the massive moderation issues keeping thousands of moody loaners and high schoolers looking for lulz at bay while still keeping the excellent tech forums running smoothly. I guess I am a bit paranoid.

I'd rather hear that kind of input than to assume everything is going fine. It also nice to know other experiences with larger sites so we as family can control it now before it gets out of hand. Thank you for comments and thoughts they are still meaningful! :thumbup2:
