I decided yesterday to do some over looked maintenance. I changed both diffs and the transfer case. Let me tell you it was worth it, 114k and apparently the previous owner never changed them. Now I just need to do the power steering since it always gets over looked:smart:

I used amsoil in the diffs, and napa atf in the transfer case. And if I heard right I think I was told that the napa branded oils are actually valvoline.:wow:

I just did the big amsoil conversion on my 2010 ram 1500 5.7 hemi yesterday as well. Both diffs, engine oil, tranny and T-case. Next go around will be the steering system and then a cooling system fluid change when I install a block heater.:thumbup2:Will see if I can do even better than the 19.2 mpg I saw a week ago with it with the amsoil. Although Chrysler uses mostly synthetic now I read in the manual. Time will tell.

I just had to help my brother change his steering gearbox because someone forgot about changing the ps fluid. Makes me want to change my fluid ASAP!!
