Posted June 13, 201213 yr I was wondering if any of you guys run this setup and if you like it? Also if you have the harness you can purchase to easily wire it in? Any thoughts or suggestions would be awesome It is also on sale good price and is it worth it? http://www.genosgarage.com/WHITE-NIGHT-REAR-LIGHTING-SYSTEM-03-09/productinfo/WN%2D4199%2DDG%2DKIT2/ http://www.genosgarage.com/WHITE-NIGHT-PLUG-N-GO-7-PIN-WIRING-ADAPTER/productinfo/WN%2D4149/
April 23, 201312 yr Here, I threw this together, since mike's penmanship looks like a chicken did it ;) http://forum.mopar1973man.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4166&d=1339763562 Great diagram- I was thinking of going a route similar to this, I knew a relay was the only way to go, but I wasn't sure how much current it took to trigger the relay coil. 500ma isn't much so not too worried about what sort of surplus capacity the circuit had without risking damage to whatever controls it..Thanks! Nice Avatar too:thumbup2:
April 23, 201312 yr Thanks. Yeah, to trip the relay, it takes very little current. And of course, the relay's amperage capability depends on which you use (30A, 40A, etc.)As a reference, an LED for a car alarm, takes about 200mA or less (2VDC).Additionally, in the above schematic, you can substitute a SPDT relay for a SPST (Single Pole Single Throw). The only difference between the two is that the SPST does not have the 87a pin.
