All I have is a 1000 watt generator so I'm wondering if a 750 watt Micro wave will not overload it even on start up? Thanks in Advance

MicroWave? What's that? I only have Honda 1000 for charging my scooter... and (3) camper batteries I really ought to get my big generator fixed... Honda 6500. That'll run a microwave! But nobody's gonna pick it up & put it in the outside compartment! LOL!

Well I can tell you my 2Kw genny will not fire the microwave, water heater, or the A/C.But my larger 4.5Kw genny will fire everything in the RV no problems.

I decided to remove the microwave. I hardly ever need it and can use the counter for other things. I use the gen for charging Three batteries also. I bought the 1000 gen because it fits in the outside compartment.I did not go for the A/C option when I bought the camper. I only like camping up in the cooler mtns., lots of shade, lots of trees anyhow. Where the bears go, they seem to like the same things.

I'm used to primitive camping... not so sure about this RV-ing thing. A gas stove / fridge seem pretty high tech to me. Just because something is microwaveable does not mean it's a requirement!

Wait till your my age.... You'll know all you want to know about roughing it :tease::rv:

I am 61 with Progressive MS. One can not have a 'tin teepee' in a reenactment camp. Camping in the parting lot and day tripping into camp, just is not the same, one misses a lot of camp life.

I hear you there flag. You got my prayers bud. We are the same age too. Mostly we just get out away from rest of the crowds. Do a lot of boondocking and some remote road trips. On a side note; some studies came out with results showing that the 'zapped' food is not good for us. W'ere starting to look into that one to see if it's true.

Well just looking around there is several articles on WiFi radiation and Microwave Radiation and both are bad for you. Then you can look into cellphones too...

Interesting...... I read something about the 'zapped' food changing the chemical make up and nutritional values become diminished. One study over a two month period had a group of people eating only microwaved food and showed signs of becoming anemic in one month. In two months they showed signs the anemia had progressed. Some people I talk with say the FDA does not really care all that much. that they'd rather have you not live so long collecting your social security. You hear all kinds of thingsBest thing to do is get out and have some fun, go camping when you can and not to worry:)
