Started noticing fuel dripping from the fuel filter. Looks like it is coming from in between the top of the cannister and the side. I have taken the top of the cannister off the block, looked for cracks and debris. Then I put a new filter on and it is still leaking. I don't know if the manufacturer is putting in smaller o-rings or what. Any suggestions? If I can't figure this out, looks like I will be putting a new filter setup on the truck and removing the factory cannister.

I can't see your sig from my phone but do you have the metal canister with the drop out filter or the one with the plastic lid from the newer trucks?

Posted ImageMine leaked from the fuel heater wires on top of the canister right after I got my truck. I took it apart and put some black silicone on the o ring and it hasn't leaked a drop in 5 years. If your housing is crack I just so happen to have removed mine Saturday.

Ryan, that looks like mine, After thinking it over, I don't want to go thru this process again. I am going to remove the whole filter assembly and put in a separate fuel filter system. Thanks for the help!

You can usually find the newer style off of the forums for $40 or so. I have another buddy with an airdog that is going to remove his factory housing, or I am. If you want I will let you know when he pulls it out.
