So I had to go to Texas last week to pick up two stock trailers. I took a round about way down there and it was a good trip except one thing. When I am driving I do not like to stop unless I have to, so it is usually only when the truck needs fuel. The problem comes when I have a drink and after about 250 miles I have to start going to the bathroom. In our work trucks a full tank of gas might last about 300 miles and that would be perfect, the problem is that my truck will go at least 500 miles or more. By the time I stop for fuel my eyeballs are yellow, my bladder is the size of a bowling ball and I can not bend over because something might burst.

My brother won't go on trips with me anymore for that reason. Denver is 720 miles from my house and he wanted to get a truck bed there. I filled up here and never stopped until we got there. Then we went to NY another time and on the way back I did the same thing. He seems to think he can't tell me he has to eat something or go to the bathroom. He's lucky I didn't drive 55mph. I have seen over 900 miles going that speed when I was testing for mileage. 27mpg x 35 gallons is 945 miles. He can bring a catheter.

I don't like to stop... but I have MS bladder. I only drink water. I just slurp down tasty drinks. Fast food drinks come with huge straws, the quicker to slurp them down. Never understood that since many have free refills. Maybe to get you to finish up & clear the tables? I prefer & hoard pull to close water bottle tops... I used to see many with them, now there's only one brand locally... I find I can stretch my drinks while staying hydrated. I miss hauling my gooseneck horse trailer. I could stop anywhere, and duck under the g-neck & pee unseen. An older gent I used to know was an excavation contractor... did a lot of street work. No place to pee. I wonder if he cut out the pockets of his khakis? He could lean against the hood of a truck, pretend to look at a piece of paper & pee behind the front wheel. When I drove an van with my mobile shop, I frequently had to pee in a cup in the back with the door closed... dump it under the truck when no one was around.I never understood if I caused it but I ended up with a massive UTI, I was on immune suppressing drugs at the time... while on a road trip... I figure on stopping every hour or 2.

Glad to see that I am not the only one that does not like to pull over.

After the UTI from Hell... you don't want to know what happens when it spreads... a 'cath' is no longer humorous. If I'd done what I wanted to to the male nurse that shoved it in, I'd have been handcuffed to the bed with a copper at the door!

When I am in the air flying we judge the distance we fly not by the capacity of fuel we carry, but by the capacity of the bladder.I have one pilot friend that tells the story of a pilot that just didn't want to stop until it was time to fuel the plane. He installed a hose and funnel in his plane where the hose protruded out the bottom of his fuselage.

I can drive a loooong way before I have to ____-stop.. but once I break the seal, I have to lay off the drinks for awhile, else I'll be pulling over often..

last week I came back from Boise to where i live is about 9 hours. I had two other guys with me crying to stop. Because I keep telling them Ill stop when i need fuel. Finally had to do a mercy stop about hour 7. Thought they where going to get my seat covers wet
