Has anyone attempted to resolve the peeling black sticker stuff in between the side windows? I have seen a number of trucks afflicted by this. Is it vilable somewhere? I was thinking of cutting out some black vinyl and slapping it on. Maybe paint? I can just imagine the old stuff being a pain to remove. Your thoughts.

When I had my truck repainted, I had them paint that area black.

i peeled it off of mine. kind of a pain to remove though! gently work with a razor blade removed most of it and then a pressure washer at the car wash took care of the rest. there is still a small amount of residue but it doesnt look bad

Pro auto paint shops (or Eastwood Co.) have special buffing tools to remove decals with minimal damage to paint. I plan on using those, then either leaving it as is, or making a new set of decals. If I ever repaint, its going to go black or very dark grey.

I was afraid it would be a pain to get off. Good to know about the decal removal products though. I'll have to look into that.
