Its down under the dash, above the pedal arm and has a little button that touches the pedal arm.

I guess I meant didnt realize the brake lights engaged without ignition on. eg no power.Strange this happened straight after my brake job. I seem to have slightly more fluid in the resevoir - but no braking issues.

Yes, brakes and brake lights both work with no key in the ignition.

Might have the wife pick up the pedal to verify. Supposedly you can't readjust the switch after installing some say there is a way. But for the age of the switch I'd replace it.
