Brake light switch is failing. Time to replace the brake light switch.

never would have guessed hows that work ?? :think:

Its down under the dash, above the pedal arm and has a little button that touches the pedal arm.

    I guess I meant didnt realize the brake lights engaged without ignition on. eg no power.Strange this happened straight after my brake job. I seem to have slightly more fluid in the resevoir - but no braking issues.:shrug:

    Might have the wife pick up the pedal to verify. Supposedly you can't readjust the switch after installing some say there is a way. But for the age of the switch I'd replace it.
