Hello Guru's. I need to change the filter on my airdog 100. The last time I did it I remember losing lots of fuel. What do you guys do ?

I was thinking of clamping the hoses. Have any of you ball valves on the hoses to keep from losing fuel ?

I typically grab a pair of vise grip needle nose clamp off the supply hose. Then when done just release. Then bump the starter and re-prime the system. Nothing fancy.

I put ball valves on both sides of the pump so I could shut them off. I dont like using vise grips but I have used them but surrounded the hose with a rag or a small piece of cardboard

Thanks for the replies, Where would be a good place to get the valves from ? Did you put the ball valves directly to the pump or did you put them inline with the fuel hose.

Thanks again

Inline with hose and any home improvement store will have then. I also pulled the handles so nobody could reach down and turn them off
