I have an appointment at the Dodge Dealership Saturday to get the high idle feature enabled. They said it will cost 55.00. The sound about right to you guys?

I think that is what you can rent a smarty for and do it yourself.  I have read posts where technicians at the dealerships don't always know what enabling high idle means and have left in a state of confusion.  I would say the price sounds about right as long as everyone knows what is going on.  I would hate to see them reflash your ECM with the same program that you already have.

Yeah, I just checked out the DAP website and you can rent it for 60.00. Does anyone know if you can install a tune with it as well? If so, I would go that route for sure.

not you rent the smarty, flash your ecm with the smarty, return to stock with the smarty and send it back to DAP.  Leaving the tune on the truck will effectively make the smarty a paper weight.

Yep. A Smarty can only tune one truck. Once you put a tune on your truck, that smarty is stuck with your truck until you return it to factory settings. It will leave the high idle feature on your truck though even after returning it to factory conditions. It was kind of fun to see what it would be like to have a smarty though. DAP Sends a return label with it so when you are finished, just box it up and mail her back. Very nice product, especially stacked with my comp...
