May 8, 201510 yr Author I dont have a obd II scanner. Will have to find one... I will tell you a little history . I put the 44 pump in about 4 years ago. havent had any prob. I did change over to a raptor 100 and it was fine until a month ago it went bad. they sent me another and it seems to be ok. Ive got a napa spin on between tank and pump and the pressure line goes to stock canister. Also been having gauge for several years. My truck is all stock. just a run around truck. The other day it started cutting out. I let it set awhile then it cranked up and cut out all way home . 20 more miles. It died when i pulled in drive. This morn it cranked up no prroblem. ran smooth no miss so i upped the rpm to about 25000 and held it to warm up for about 5min. temp started rising and when it got to about 160 deg i felt a miss and let off and it died. Would not crank back. let it set about 4-5 hours and it cranked up fine. Thats where Im at now. Ill try to lcate a scanner.... Thanks so much
May 8, 201510 yr Owner Ok... What your fuel pressure? Idling? Also at highway speed WOT? Still going to need the error codes. Something I fell in love with. OBDLink LX (Green) This little bluetooth dongle is excellent for anyone with a smartphone with bluetooth. Except iPhones then you need OBDLink MX WiFi. http://www.obdlink.com/
May 8, 201510 yr Author Just cranked it up.I'm affraid to leave...Aint got no help...I'm an old fart. My gauge is a Wesiach 15 max. WOT 14 and idle pegged out I figure around 16 or 17. Guess I need a 0-50psi .huh?
May 8, 201510 yr Author Drive to your local parts store and ask to borrow their scanner. Ok... Cant go now.... Not till this eve... at a Auto Zone
May 8, 201510 yr Author guess I'll try and get the OBD linx LX blue tooth. Wont get here till Monday though. They wont let me borrow scanner
May 8, 201510 yr Owner I would find another fuel pressure gauge just for the sake of double checking and testing purpose. Too much fuel pressure can cause some weird problems too.

May 11, 201510 yr Great, Scan for those codes. Side note I honestly cannot believe autozone wouldn't let you borrow a scanner. Why wouldn't they let someone take a tool into their parking lot and scan for an issue that likely they sell a solution to??? Odd
May 12, 201510 yr Owner got a 1690 code http://articles.mopar1973man.com/2nd-generation-24v-dodge-cummins/59-obdii-error-codes-cummins/229-p1690-vp44-ckp-sensor-does-not-agree-with-ecm-ckp-sensor Did you have any tachometer issues? Any crank or cam sensor codes too?
May 12, 201510 yr Owner Thats all ....I recon....Do I need to erase them and try again....? You could... Then see if the code comes back if it does after a short drive of 5-10 miles then you know the code is real. Then you'll need to resolve it by running the diagnostics.
May 12, 201510 yr Author I'm affraid to leave house...Quit on road with no help........Can I just clear and crank up later and let run... Mayb throttle at different rpms in neutral?
after engine warms up. getting 1693
