  1. I had a FASS DDRP 02 Lift Pump installed or at least I think that is what it is. I'm a non-motor head old fart. I had a Dodge Diesel Mech install it for me 2 years ago. No problems yet. I'm in Santa Fe, TX, so how is the best way to go about getting a Fleet Guard and or Baldwin filter? Can I special order thru Auto Zopne maybe? Thanks for your response.
  2. Have followed the forum concerning using 2 cyc oil. Have about made up my mind to start using it. I have a FASS Lift Pump with a 3/8 in inline filter and the OME filter upfront. I'm using a Quest filter upfront. I have recently used Lucas as an additive but it should be cleared out by now. I'm currently in Texas and will be retuning to SC after the 4th of July. Does anyone see any problem with starting using it now? I have 6k miles since I changed the upfront filter. Mohok
  3. I remember reading some where in this forum about how to clean out subject drain line but can't locate the post now. Will someone please direct me to it or tell me what to use to clean out the line?ThanksMOHOK
  4. What is the best type of fuel filter to use?Mohok
  5. Hey guys, from a non motor head prospective, has anyone ever tried a $24.00 3 oz can of A/C Super Seal from Wal-Mart? Have had retailers tell me that if the system is not leaking down within 2 weeks the stuff will work. Mohok
  6. Have a 2001 2500 HD Diesel 5.9 Auto Tranny. I have a major A/C leak. Leaked down with in 4 months. Are there any common problems with the A/C's on this type vehicle? I am the original owner. I had freon put in in 2007 and 2009 and Nov 2010. Is there a likely area to look for the problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated.ThanksMohok
  7. Will someone please explain the best way to do this. I just received both left and right complete assemblies ($113.53 to my door cost from EBAY). When I tried to remove the old ones I ran into a problem. Looks like I have to remove the top cap on the front bumper, yes/no?ThanksHNK
  8. Installed Scan Gauge II and ran the setup. It gives me a 7.5 to 8.0 MPG while towing. My actual MPG was 10.2. Any ideas on what to do? Also, when towing my T/T (8800 lbs) into a slight headwind, I can barely maintain 60 MPH with the pedal on the floor. Is this normal? See signature for vehicle specs.ThanksMOHOK
  9. Just installed my Scan Gauge and have set the A-17. Your post is telling me to set A-24 instead, right?ThanksMohok
  10. Thanks MoparMan. Not what I wanted to hear but looks like it's time to add the F/P gauge. Happy Thanksgiving.Mohok
  11. Have installed a S/G II and have not been able to figure out how to set an Xgauge command to monitor fuel pressure. Can anyone help?ThanksMohok
  12. Will mount it on the steering column with a mount from Geno's Website. Mechanical, not sure if all the required parts come with that price, it might just be the gauge.I have a Cummins MotorHead near by that will do the install. ThanksMohok
  13. Old Fart Non-MotorHead here again. Am looking at a Stewart Warner 0-30 PSI 2" Fuel Pressure Guage for $55.00 Am not a performance nut just want to monitor my F/P while towing 8K. Will this fill the bill? Mohok
  14. Thanks Moparman. I found the port on the side of the engine forward of the filter housing. I got 18PSI @ idle so I'm guessing my FASS is doing its job. I will go the mechanical route for the gauge. Are they hard to install? Will get a single column mount from Geno's.Thanks Mohok
  15. Hooked up the pressure gauge and got a 18PSI at idle so I guess my FASS is doing it's job.
  16. 3 Questions: 1. I looked at the Pricol Optix 2" Fuel Pressure Gauge (Elec) 0.30 PSI (BLK) on Geno's Website. Is this what I need to safely monitor my fuel pressure? 2. Is there a less expensive gauge that would serve the purpose? 3. I have a test gauge that came with the installation of my Banks P/P. Where do I find the fitting to connect it to check my pressure? ThanksOld Fart Non-MotorHead
  17. Thanks. I have had my Lift Pump changed out with a FASS, at least I think it is a FASS. With the Banks Power Pack I should have the HP to pull the extra pounds. I will pursue a FP Guage and TC/VB Transmission upgrade. I have a local MotorHead that I trust to do me right. Thanks again.
  18. I'm a Non Motor Head Old Fart. My truck is described in the Sig Sec of this post. I currently tow a T/T of 8K. My CGVW is 16K (8K Truck & 8K Trailer) as per Dodge. I want to move up to towing 14K . What do I need to do, if anything? I have Boost, EGT, and Tranny Gauges. I have a Banks P/P and a S&B Cold Air Intake. :confused
  19. My primary concern in switching to the 235/85 vice the 265/75 is saferty. I understand that I will lose 33mm/1 1/2 " of surfacecontact. I tow my 8K Pull Behind Travel Trailer 3/5K miles annually primarily on Interstates. Also, I can bring 4 Yokohama 285's for less than $500 and it would cost me $900 plus to replace with 265 Michelan's. ThanksMohok
  20. Currently running LT265/75/16E Mich M/S. Dodge recommended LT245/75/16E. Poor fuel mileage towing 8000lb Tag Along Travel Trailer. How much in safety am I giving up if I go to LT235/85/16E A/T in hopes of improving fuel MPHs? 2001 Ram 2500HD Diesel 4sp A/T. Have done the Banks Power Pack deal and A/B Cold Air Filter with no increase in MPHs.
  21. New to Forum. Saw the Scan Display II in the article about MPGs. Where is the best place to get one price wise?Mohok
