Morning Pic For Today...........Post A Pic around your place.....
If I recall, that cliff is only about 40' tall. There is a cliff that is 200' tall just north of there. Take a look at the pictures on this site: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g42854-d4353318-Reviews-Palisade_Head-Beaver_Bay_Minnesota.html

I know I'm late to the party, but the second picture is just south of where I used to live.

Here is a Strange.... 47RE
I don't know where this info came from, but he was told the "forward clutches were welded"..........
-
Here is a Strange.... 47RE
If it was running backwards it would be the first 12 valve I have ever heard of that did that. The guy driving it is a heavy truck mechanic/welder/fabricator so I believe he would have known if it was running funny. After he got the skid steer off he went to turn around and that was when he discovered no reverse. He did say that it shifted and ran like normal on his 10 mile drive home, but when in neutral or park it still wants to go forward. I am just trying to figure out what is the cause of this is. I know just enough about auto trannies to make it real expensive...........

Here is a Strange.... 47RE
Hey, this is my daughter's truck, '98 12 valve. Her fiancee was using it to pull a skid steer on a trailer and had to go through a soft spot in a driveway. He said he stopped and put it in 4wd (don't know if hi or low) and proceeded to go easy through the soft spot (or so he thought!)....... When the trailer was in the soft spot he said it almost ran out of power and almost stalled. He stopped, unloaded the skid steer and drove out. That is when he said there was no reverse. All he had was forward no matter where the shifter was even in park. Sometimes he said he could 'find' neutral, but reverse was forward and backward fighting each other. It doesn't seem to be a linkage issue since it will start in park or neutral. I am in Alabama and he is in Minnesota with the truck. I have been wracking my feeble brain trying to figure this one out. Any ideas? Fluid clean and no sparkles............

Windshield Wiper Issue.......?
You guys ain't making thisa cheap fix....... I just did some looking. I can get a new motor for $183.99 or a reman for $42.99. Probably gonna let it run it until it quits completely. I do want to find a rear door latch. I have one door that won't lock or unlock electrically. I have to lock it manually.
-
Windshield Wiper Issue.......?
That makes sense. Guess I didn't think about the wiper motor wiring.
-
Windshield Wiper Issue.......?
Would the reed switch make the wipers do multiple sweeps sometimes when on intermittent? That is something I am not sure about. I was thinking that the contacts may be rough and stick once in a while. Maybe there's more than one issue. I can swap relays, but won't replace the wiper motor until it quits completely.
-
Windshield Wiper Issue.......?
Ever since I got my truck, once in a while the wipers won't work on intermittent and they will also stop where ever they are when I turn them off. If I turn them on and let them sweep a couple of times they will work properly and go the park position when shut off. Is this a possible relay in the PDC problem?

Roof Issues Anyone?????
Another update......... That shot of steroids seems to have done what I want! There is slight pain on occasion, but I can do about anything I want. Maybe it was just a tiny tear and won't be a problem to heal......... I hope. Since the day after the shot I haven't used my brace or crutches!

Roof Issues Anyone?????
Got an update. Went to Dr this morning. He confirmed what we thought (different doc). Torn meniscus is the most likely problem since x-ray didn't see it. His advice was "Don't rush into surgery" and gave me a shot of steroids in the knee. He also said go easy on it because surgery would put me closer to replacement. Give it time and it should heal..... I hope so because I am leaving this area in about a month with plans to be back in May for a couple of weeks.

Roof Issues Anyone?????
Yeah, I am not quite as mobile as the guy in my avatar....... Getting better though! I can put a little weight on my leg. Hopefully soon no more knee brace or crutches. I bet I don't heal much quicker than you, Dripley

Roof Issues Anyone?????
Now for the latest....... No trailer issues, but I was putting some plywood down in another trailer dueto the floor being soft. I was going up the steps and heard a loud SNAP!!! The loud snap was my right knee. Saw a Dr this morning, had an x-ray, but no real diagnosis yet. Speculation is possible torn cartilage...

Roof Issues Anyone?????
Hey, now....... Just because a psychologist once told me I was an "opinionated SOB" don't mean you need to rub it in.
-
Roof Issues Anyone?????
So, you're saying I got my trap glued shut?
-
Roof Issues Anyone?????
No sir. It looks better than what it did new! I also installed new bushings in the springs and new bolts in it. I didn't feel anything from the trailer (except the weight) on the way to the campground. Seems like it rode quite well. I will know more when I hit the road later this year.
-
Roof Issues Anyone?????
Well, it's been a week with the trailer back. I got the air ride installed along with the new tires. So far so good! The floor feels about as solid as it should be!
-
Roof Issues Anyone?????
I have plenty of room to go up with the pin if needed. Forest River seems to hav stepped up to the plate! While putting the tires back on and found one with a ply separation (original Castle Rock). So now I am going to put Goodyear Endurance on it. I really didn't want to buy tires yet, but I have no choice......
-
Roof Issues Anyone?????
It's gonna be a lot better! We went from a 2017 38' to a 1995 28'. Getting back into the 38' is gonna feel like a mansion!

Roof Issues Anyone?????
Well, I took the wife shopping this morning. We stopped for breakfast and I got a phone call. My trailer showed up at the dealer some time last night! I went and looked at it and it looked good. New roof, new parts on roof, new floor, new linoleum, new carpeting even. They even fixed the drawers that would slide out easily when traveling, repaired one drawer that the bottom had popped out, fixed a shelf that had broken, put new seals and one glide on the slide outs, and did a 'normal PDI'. The floor is a lot better than what it was and the roof is flat as can be. Not to put on some Lippert Center Point suspension and a hitch for a bike rack. Then I can bring it to the campground and switch things around. Another plus is I have the older trailer (that we stayed in) sold and all I need to do is move it to a new site and put my newer one where I want it.......
-
Roof Issues Anyone?????
Unfortunately the dealerprobably won't know what was done since the factory did the repairs. I will find out fairly quickly if the roof is glued down. The first thing I will do with it is run down the freeway for 25 miles or so.

Roof Issues Anyone?????
I got a call yesterday. The service manager told me that the roof and floor have been replaced. On Tuesday it goes into the rain bay to check for leaks. Maybe by the end of the week I will see my trailer........
-
Roof Issues Anyone?????
Well, I FINALLY have an update. The update is that it is going to be another two weeks because of the 4th of July holiday. So much for their "30 days". It looks to be about a five week process for repairs............ I was told to call the dealer in two weeks to see if they heard anything. Far as selling the replacement trailer, I don't know what is going on there. The people came and looked at it, but nothing has been discussed since. Sorry about the lack of being on here, but I have very limited internet where I am........ p.s. I tried to update this thread via my phone, but all I got was the reply box and couldn't type anything.

Roof Issues Anyone?????
I picked up another trailer to use while my newer one is being repaired. I found a 1995 28 footer for $4500 and have it sold for $5k already. The future owner even knows it might be another month before they get it.
