  1. What about oil. Are all brands pretty much equal? Just put in whatever I can find on sale? Not doing Amsoil. Heard the stories of the Rotella smell. Don't do a huge amount of miles a year. Just plan on a yearly change even if I don't hit the 5000 or 7500 mark. Will do a good filter maybe a Fleetguard as the are easy to get.
  2. sounds like I might be in a little over my head on some of the things I should do. Not gonna be a simple dump and fill but want do what needs done. Need to make this thing last another 4-5 years. Want to take care of that tranny. I think the sensor and solenoid might be the cause of why the trans seems to hang in gears sometimes from what I read about it. I was told its just how dodges are. I have always been a GM guy (go easy on me!) but got a steal of a deal on this truck
  3. Yeah I always put a rag around the fitting while taking it loose. I just hope that plastic ball or whatever it is made of isn't the weak link to this system. How do you like those RV275's? Think that will be my next upgrade.
  4. I am going to be doing a complete fluid change on my 01. I am looking for a recommendations on what fluid you guys are running or what works best in these 24 valves. I will be doing coolant, engine oil, atf fluid, and rear diff. Should I run any additives? Manual says to run something in the rear diff. Truck has a little over 80,000 miles on it and is an auto trans. It is a tow rig 75% of the time but not a daily driver. Looking for good quality stuff that is affordable and readily available. Is there anything else I need to do while I am doing all this??
  5. Found the problem. It was the spring or ball. Not sure which because I changed both. Think it was the ball though. It had a small groove in it. Thanks from the replies guys.
  6. where might I find the drain tube? And why would there be antifreeze in the hvac?
  7. No fix a flat and not losing a ton of coolant. Very minimal but noticeable. Overflow is nowhere near the area that is showing the leak. It is for sure antifreeze. Again no signs of a leak what so ever in the engine compartment. May just start changing hoses and see if I can fix it that way.
  8. I believe it is all one sealed unit. I think it either works or it doesn't. Don't know much about them myself. May try to look at it a little closer tomorrow. I know it is not adjustable like the 150.
  9. My pump is less than 2 months old. I was thinking bad pump after the bucket test also. I can't see getting 3 bad sensors for Edge. I will talk with the co I bought the pump from on Monday. Thanks for your input.
  10. Would there be a problem running it in a truck that is not a daily driver??? I just think about my can that I use for the weed eater where the oil settles to the bottom. My truck my set for a month or longer. Would not want the bottom of the tank a gunked up with 2 cycle.
  11. I have a Fass 95 pulling off the factory basket and recently installed an Edge Juice w/ Attitude. My fuel pressure bounces all over the place. From 10 to 23 psi on the CTS monitor. Edge has replaced there senor 2 times and no change. I did the 5 gal bucket test today and psi is all over the place. Truck runs good from what I can tell. The gauge bounces at idle and wot. I had a snubber on it but it didn't help at all. Is it possible that I still have a bad senor? I have not checked with a mechanical gauge yet. Anybody have any thoughts??
  12. If I had the stealth plate like you guys then it would be as easy as you guys are saying but I don't. I talked to Edge today and they had me remove the cover from the module and check for 6 scrolling lights while the truck was running. Said if I had the lights then the pump was tapped correctly. I would still like to put a volt meter on it somewhere.

  14. I have never had any sign of coolant leak in the engine compartment. When I am referring to the fender I am talking from the outside directly above the wheel. I thought I possibly ran through something the first time I noticed it but it has come back several times. I guess I may have to wait until it becomes a bigger leak. Just hope it don't leave me stranded somewhere.
  15. I guess I don't follow....The pump wire will not have 12v with the key on unless the posi-tap is done correctly???
  16. Got truck up to temp today for about 1/2 hr and could not locate any leak. Not sure what is going on.
  17. I just installed my Edge Juice w/ Attitude and I am wondering how I can check to make sure I have the pump wire tapped properly. I don't want to run my JWA like an EZ. I wanted to go with the Stealth plate but I was already getting an earful about the money spent on the JWA so I just did the Posi-tap. Can I unplug the module and check the voltage at the harness if I trace the wire? Should I just put a stealth plate on, try to seal the pump wire back up and not have to ever worry about it again? There doesn't seem to be a good place to check the voltage with the posi-tap like their is with the stealth plate. Sorry if this is repeat post. This has probably been asked a lot, but I have not found a good answer.
  18. I have the fass 95. It was installed about a month ago. I was told by the shop that it is running around 15-17 I believe.
  19. I have not got the fuel pressure hooked up yet. I am waiting on my push-lok tee since I couldn't use the supplied banjo bolt. With that turnbuckle what kind of boost pressure should it be set to? I assume you have to set it.
  20. I have a 2201 3500 with 24v. I have an antifreeze leak that is showing up in the passenger wheel well. There is a 2" spray pattern all the way across the liner like the tire is spraying it up there. The engine compartment is dry. There is 1 steel line that runs across the fender in the engine compartment but all connections or joints are dry. Although I have not removed the foil tape that is on them, but no signs of leaking or water marks. Could the heater core be leaking? If it was would it be wet in the cab or shouldn't I smell it? Any and all thoughts appreciated.
  21. Just got my edge juice w/ attitude CTS installed and was wondering what the safe temp ranges for Trans. and egt's are? Truck is a 2001 3500 24v w/ auto. I could not use the supplied boost elbow either. Will that affect much? Should I be concerned with any other temps?
