  1. Was thinking about the comp box. Might even step it down to an ez. And was looking at smartys last night just because edge products has not been good to me yet. I am going to get this thing sent in first and see what they say about it first and get it repaired. It has been one thing after another with this setup. I will prob be in it another grand if I go with the comp and guages. Not sure what the scan guage does yet but will check into it.
  2. Well they wanted me to send it in and send me a refurbish cts but I am not happy with that. I bought a new unit and that what I think they should send me. Sounda like i need to send it in. I wonder if my other guages are accurate now. I have about had it with the cts and edge. Might have a 6 month old juice with attitude for sale in the near future.
  3. They seem fine driving. Around 650-700 empty and not hard on the pedal. I can hit 1300 a lot faster than I would like though. My Cts seems to be acting up hear lately. Wont turn on with acc but will once started and stays on for a bit once key is off. Wouldnt think that would have anything to do with it.
  4. Recently my egts have been dropping down to 100-110 at idle. They drop really fast. They used to have a hard time getting down to 300 before I installed injectors. Not sure if this is normal. Even after pulling into a gas station they are down where before I would have to wait a bit or let the timer do the shutdown. Not sure if I have a bad probe or this is normal or something else. Seems strange to me and thinking something is wrong.
  5. What was the first year they made the tow mirrors? Cant seem to find oem ones for my 01. Dealer says they cant get them either. I was trying to go with oem vs the aftermarket that I have now or had. I know aftermarket is a lot cheaper but was thinking oem would be better quality. I have found some for an 02. Would they fit? Was thinking the body wasn't changed until 03.

  8. Just had a jackass cross center and almost hit me head on. Thankfully he only took out my driver side tow mirror. Guess I get to put a new one on again.
  9. So anybody know if there is an upgrade for my 2wd w/ IFS?
  10. Is there such a thing as a cheap low dust pad? What brand would you recommend? The pads I have now produce a ton of dust. Is there a difference betwenn the pads that have 1 long pad and the ones that look like they have 2 smaller pads? If that makes sense
  11. Thought you shouldn't run ceramic pads if towing.
  12. Yeah seems worse on the first couple steps on the pedal but have had them act up after a 30 mile trip. Went to parts store and they were fine on the way up, got my parts, when leaving hit the pedal and almost threw by buddy against the dash. Inconsistent
  13. I have an 01 with rear drums. It doesn't pull at all when brakes are applied. Going to do a full brake job in the near future. I had thought at one point that I had bad calipers but am thinking they are fine and just need pads. Going to upgrade the rear drums With the gm part that I read about on here.
  14. I know I need to change my fluid but sometimes I will barely touch my brake pedal and the front brakes will almost lock up. It doesn't do it all the time. Pedal is great but I don't like how sensitive they are. Do I have a problem with my system? Has anybody had brakes like this?

  18. I just did mine and cant remember if I cut the stud or took the stud out of the mirror and ran a bolt from inside to mirror
  19. Imo the edge does good on the top end like from 2 to 3 and 3 to 4. it will put you back into your seat. Not saying it doesn't help down low because it does just not as much as up top. The injectors help out a lot on the bottom from what I can tell from the 2 or 3 mile test drive I took after the install. Was going to take it out tonight but we are having tornado warnings all over the place. Does the truck go thru a learning curve after doing injectors or any other performance upgrades?
  20. 3 1/2 hrs later i got the injectors installed tonight. Worst part was getting the valve cover off & back on and trying to get the torque wrench on the Hp injection lines. I finally gave up and just tightened them with a wrench guessing at the torque based off of the ones I could get to easily. Took it for a short drive and notice a little more low end power thru 1st and 2nd which is what I was looking for. It seemed like a dog thru 1 and 2 even with the juice on. Not a huge bump in power but I think I found what I was looking for. Also not really any more smoke than stock with the Juice on 5x5. Want to thank everybody for your input and info. Esp mulcher812. I will give more feedback once I drive it a little more and can hook the fiver to it.
  21. Got my +50-60 injectors today. Holy fast shipping from Vulcan performance! I cancelled my dap order due to being backordered. Now just have to find the time to install them. Thumbs up to Eric @ Vulcan.
  22. Well wont let me look at or download service manual. Says I have exceeded the Max number of downloaded for today. Not sure what's up with that
  23. Will a Haynes repair manual give me all the necessary torque specs to do the injector install? Wouldnt mind having something around with info like that for other repairson the truck. And one other thing....Is the valve cover gasket reusable? Mine seems to be seeping a little back by the firewall now. Thought about trying to clean it up and reuse it or should I just replace it?
  24. Would their be a benefit going to an adjustable boost elbow vs the edge elbow that I am running now?
  25. Yeah thats what I am afraid of. I can hit 1300 rather quickly with my stock injectors and the juice on 5x5. That is playing around at WOT. Dont know too many people that drive WOT all the time. So with your 75s they are managable towing? I am in ohio and we dont have they grades like out west. I know I can turn the juice down or off, but if I do that then there really is no point to even have it, right?
