  2. Ohh I think I put dexron 2 in I got it off Dodgeram.org http://dodgeram.org/tech/specs/tranfer_case.htm
  3. I agree just kinda funny to me by the way. Does anyone know the correct fluid for the transfer case. I've been reading +4 or dexron ll. Thanks
  4. I just found it was weird there saying 5931 bottle is saying 5391. Online specs for the bottle is saying 5931 haha crazy.
  5. Ok then what in the he** did I grab gotta be a miss print right http://valvolinechemicals.com/sites/default/files/VALVOLINE-power-steering-fluid.pdf
  6. http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/98-5-02-non-powertrain/489604-atf-power-steeringfluid.html see here is what I have read
  7. Ok so on my 99 cummins there is nothing that says what fluid should be in my p/s pump. Can't find my owners manual. So I looked on here at downloads and they don't give a fluid spec. So next thing was google. Some people are using Lucas or atf +4 or whatever. I have a bottle of plain ol valvoline p/s fluid but is that right? Thanks.
  8. I hear that I need to get mine ordered and put on. Glad you got yours working . Yeah my brother and buddy's 7.3 heats up quick and to full temp. Now my dads 6.7 cummins is the same way as mine. You'd think cummins would get on board with full heat when plugged in.
  9. I guess I've been riding around in those powerstokes at work too much. There already warmed up after you unplug them. Haha. Thanks guys guess she's working just fine
  10. So I'm pretty sure my block heater is on it's last leg. Been noticing it a lot lately. Just wondering what temp your engines heats up to before you start it. Mine the last couple days has been high of 86 scan guage said at 20 degrees out. Also does anyone know the torque for that block heater plug. Thanks
  11. Ha ok wish I would saw this before I've put everything away lol
  12. Ok sweet I just did it again. And I can kinda hear something next to the turbo. All boots are tight. I think it's just the air moving at 25 psi.
  13. So I did a boost leak test on my 99 cummins found a t clamp that needed to be tighted. Took the tester to 25 psi. The gauge is slowly going down like .5psi every couple second. Did the soapy water test can't find anything. Can't hear anything. Is this normal to loose psi with it pressured up or should it stay at 25psi.
  14. nice that's very interesting thanks. I like your design @jag
  15. Perfect thank you all for your input. Appreciate it. I'm gonna keep the 53 as long as I can. Thanks again
  16. Thanks for the replies this is a huge relieve. I figure I was gonna hear throw it away lol. Have you guys done any mods to your trucks with the 53 block. Like add horsepower or help cool or anything. I take it I shouldn't take my truck to 425 hp
  17. Thank you I appreciate it. I take it not all 53s are a problem child then.
  18. I reacently found out my 99 cummins has a 53 block. It has 260k miles has an edge ez I believe. Bhaf, banks intake horn. Pusher hot side tube. Other than that it's stocks. My question is do you keep it or get rid of it. The truck runs great. Looking around on the block I didn't see any cracks or signs. I mean there was some oil from my vacuum pump and before I did the blow by mod but nothing that caught my eyes. I've read that if it doesn't crack by 100k your good. I've also read that wrong cold start and pulling heavy loads cracks it out. Talked to the guy who owned it before me he said he's never pulled light with it cattle, bales all gooseneck pulls. I've put a lot of time into this truck I've come attached to it. So I'm stuck in a rut I don't know what to do I was just getting ready for a nv4500 rebuild. I'm asking you guys if this is something serious or my paranoia is getting the best of me. Thanks for the input
  19. I trust you guys I ordered from puredieselpower.com 7/8 hose. Thanks guys
  20. Gotcha thanks I found it at a couple places CTCummins24V said cpp I found it on there website. They also have what cpp calls 3/4 drain hose anyone know what that's about
  21. That's actually not a bad idea. What size of hose was it when you changed it.
  22. Thanks what's the 3/4 for then
  23. I crawled under my truck recently looked up and found under my oil filter there is a leak coming off a hose with two clamps. Traced it found out it goes to the turbo. I haven't taken it off so I don't know what size I need or what it is. If it is special hose or the length of the piece. I looked online found 3/4 7/8 silicon high temp you name it etc. can anyone help me out here thanks.
