injectors cleaning
I wouldn't buy anything I plan on using more than once from harbor freight. Going by their price and concept they are perfect, however, tool quality is not there.

Finally got some $$ for a few upgrades
Shouldn't take but an hour or two to install. I did mine in about an hour and a half.

Where are you buying the injectors from? Most I have seen include O-rings.

Injector Comparrison
Excuse me I meant nut. But my fingers said differently.

Yeah I was wondering about the 1/2 bolt too. Cant fit it in to pull the crossover tube out.

which clutch
If money is tight and you don't plan on adding power I would go with a single disc that meets your specs.

99 Auto / Lots of New Parts / Engine Error Code Issue
The thing to do (If you cant afford a nice code reader) is get one off ebay. I know there are better. But when you get one as a gift from someone who things that they are helping its kind of hard to hurt their feelings. It should clear them and as said before if they come back then there is an issue.

dead nv5600
South Bend is where I got mine but I ordered mine as an entire kit. But I think normally they run about $70 from them. But make sure if you are going with the later model 5600 that you also buy a 1 3/8 clutch.

It would be nice to get a lower cruising gear, rather than humming along at 2k at high way speeds. And a GV would be nice too if they weren't so expensive.

dead nv5600
If you don't tow much I would say go with the 4500. If you tow I would say go with the 5600. The final gear on both transmissions are the same if not similar. All you really are getting out of a 5600 is a helper in the 3-4 range that would normally be on the 4500. But a 4500 with a bigger input shaft should be enough to get you through most everything. A few months ago I did the auto to manual swap and it wasn't cheap, but I did it right.

All transmissions will fail at some point in time. It all really depends on driving habits.
-
dead nv5600
If you are seriously thinking of swapping to a NV4500 Is there a difference between output shafts of the 4500 vs 5600? If so that would be something else to have to address.
-

Yeah drive lines will be different. How does the clutch look that's currently in there? If it needs replaced might as well upgrade the input shaft on the nv4500 and replace the clutch accordingly. But if you figure the cost of replacing or modifying your current setup I am sure you would be better off getting the nv5600 replaced rather than swapping to a nv4500.

Sad news
I get mine from a local business. Trying to help them out. All the city trucks and buses fill up there so its a pretty good turn around on the fuel in the tanks.

Will Harbor Freight 1 Ton Hoist Reach?
I had to rig mine to where the pump handle rested on the frame or exhaust just to keep from letting down. If I would have turned the bleed screw any tighter I would have snapped it. Took it back to them after I was finished got my money back. $160

Will Harbor Freight 1 Ton Hoist Reach?
I wouldn't use harbor freight material. When I did my transmission swap I bought a trans jack and the 800lbs trans jack was having trouble holding 190lbs transmission.
