My truck is running worse now. The injector knock is louder, there is a noticeable miss while idling, and I've lost some power. It's funny how fast it's gone downhill since starting this thread

What thickness sealing washers should I use? I think medium is stock but I can't remember for sure.

@notlimah Good deal man and I agree it's in bad taste. There's a guy named Mark LaRue here in Tx that builds some amazing AR15 rifles, everything is manufactured in house including the barrels (which is rare). The guy is a cocky prick but his rifles and customer service are second to none. Maybe Contagious is the same way Since I bought these injectors from an individual I'm going to have 6 cores sitting around. Does anyone know of a place that will buy my old cores?

I agree. I'm by no means trying to defend them or anything. It looks like they offer injectors for 2nd gen 24v, 3rd gen 5.9 and 6.7.

My guess is that statement is directed towards the no name ebay injectors you see from time to time. It appears that neither DAP nor Vulcan advertise their injectors as being flow matched.

Bought a set of 5x12 Contagious Diesel injectors from a member of Compition Diesel for $425. Should have them by the weekend. I emailed Contagious Diesel asking if their injectors are pop tested and flow matched, below is the response. "They are pop tested. The nozzles are Bosch pieces that are EDM'd. If you want honed flow matched nozzles, it is quite a bit extra. Almost every place that advertises flow matched nozzles is using aftermarket Italian or Chinese junk nozzles to knock off cost."

$2400 up front with the core charge. Trust me, I'm thankful to have a 12V right about now lol.

I hope so. I'll just sold over $300 worth of AR15 parts to fund them

I'm looking at $520 up front shipped for a set of 5x12 SAC injectors with used bodies. I should be able to order them soon.

Thanks for the offer but I need complete injectors as mine have over 300k miles on them. I've decided to go with a set of tried and true 5x12 injectors, now I have two other decisions to make. Do I go with VCO or SAC? Do I go with the aftermarket body injectors with no core charge or Bosch body injectors with $100 core? I'm leaning towards the Bosch body SAC injectors but still not 100% sure. I'll be ordering a set this week so I really need to make up my dang mind already lol.

I don't expect to be able to run as clean as a computer controlled truck, just as clean as I can with a P7100. The fact that I'm not shooting for 500 or 600hp should make that goal much easier. I'll ask DAP about flow matching and pop testing. When you say "within a percent range" are you referring to the percent of flow each injector in the set has with compared to one another?

@Mopar1973Man I just came across that picture earlier lol. It seems like for my needs a SAC would be a better choice. @Cowboy I'm going to purchase a set of injectors from DAP since they actually list the specs of the injectors. After reading this I believe a set of 7x10 SAC injectors will be my best bet. I'm only shooting for 400hp or so, my truck is a daily driver, and I want to be as efficient as I can (no smoke). Thoughts? ETA: These are the injectors I'm looking at http://dieselautopower.com/diesel-auto-power-aftermarket-performance-injector-7x0-010-sac-145-up-to-100hp-pp7x10sac145a/

I was going to ask why some some places just list the HP instead of nozzle size, that seemed kind of sketchy to me. I'm not familiar with the difference between a SAC and VCO injector, time for more research. I had originally planned on running a set of 5x12's with a 62/65/12 turbo but that will have to wait for now. If I can run 5x12's without trashing the stock HX35 then that's what will I'll get and upgrade the turbo later. I've literally been waiting YEARS to bump up the power but couldn't due to 47RE woes. Now that my trans is squared away I'm pretty excited about making some more power.

That's good to hear.

Well it sounds like some 90's are in my future

I'm probably going to get some 75hp injectors, would prefer 90hp but that's asking a lot from an HX35. After paying closer attention I've noticed that my truck hazes at idle and the fumes smell like raw diesel

Those are very good questions that will be asked before purchasing injectors from anyone. I also want to make sure I don't end up with marine injectors.

I wonder if these injectors are any count? http://www.dieselpowerproducts.com/p-7530-dodge-12-valve-fuel-injectors-9070-hp.aspx

I've personally never seen injectors completely fail, will the engine just no longer start?

Not when your short on funds from fixing your house

@Mopar1973Man The injectors are original and have over 300k miles on them. Do you think cleaning it would do any good?
-
Knocking sound.
The knocking sounded like it was comming from #6 cylinder so I loosened the injector line and the knocking stopped. Tightened it back up and the knocking returned. I did this a half dozen times just to make sure and got the same results each time. I'm going to swap #6 injector with #1 later to make sure it isn't a pump issue. Pop testing is my last resort since I will have to ship them somewhere and be without my truck for at least a week. I really wish there was a reputable shop close by.
