  1. The problem is there aren't any other places around here to get them tested besides the place I took them to before, and they charge $50. I've heard entirely too many bad things about that place (such as telling people their injectors are good when they're actually wore out) to deal with them again. I would have to ship them somewhere. I also can't be without my truck for more than a few days in row, which complicate things. I've noticed that my mileage has slowly gotten worse. I used to get around 17 mpg and now the best I can do is 14.
  2. I had the injectors cleaned and pop tested a couple years ago by a local pump shop and they said everything was fine. I've heard since then that they do shoddy work though. I wouldn't mind upgrading to some 5x12 injectors since my trans is finally squared away but I'm not sure if I could tune them down enough to work with my HX35 for now.
  3. DOR hands down. It's not cheap but is built like a tank with high quality parts. I've been running one for almost a year and love it. The main thing is to make sure it's actually in stock before ordering. DOR's lead time on out of stock parts can sometimes be counted in months.
  4. Thanks. We're doing ok and currently living with the inlaws which isn't as bad as it sounds Even after all of this we still love it here. My home has truly become OUR home as the wife still can't imagine living anywhere else, nor do I. The new house will be 9' in the air (5' above the recent floods) and we will longer have to worry about flooding.
  5. I've had this strange knocking sound going on for the past few months and I'm not sure what it is. It does it while idling, while driving at a steady speed, while accelerating, but NOT while coasting. It doesn't sound like piston slap or bad bearings, at least not to me. Here's a video of the sound I'm talking about: As you can hear my idle is still set too high
  6. UPDATE: The river came up again right after this flood to almost the same height. This is the first time it has done a back to back flood of this severity since my parents moved here in the early 60's. This time around we managed to lift the house about 4 1/2' off the ground via concrete blocks. We used a skid steer, two bottle jacks, and a lot of hard work and sweat to get it done. We've been doing repairs to make the house livable for now. It's not perfect and it won't be as we have no intention of living in it permanently. Hopefully within the next year we will be able to start on the new house which we will be building ourselves from the ground up.
  7. I have a 4 1/2" DP to full 5" running to 5" stacks. I love the sound and the truck is my daily driver, never gets old to me. For a normal person 4" should do the job nicely.
  8. Now the fun begins
  9. Saved this guy from drowning yesterday.
  10. I appreciate the offer. We've got it for now and the road is still flooded anyway. Would you happen to know any Jurasek's from EB?
  11. The river has dropped out of the house and shop. Everything is a mess, which was expected. Our house is small (450 sq ft) and has a pier and beam foundation so lifting it wouldn't be too difficult. The house will need a lot of work and it's honestly not worth the investment. We're planning to scrap it and build something else on 8' pilings. It will take time and money, money being the biggest issue. We're going to try and get a loan for the project. My father inlaw is a master electrician and has built a couple of houses himself and my friend has the equipment to set the pilings and hoist supplies up. The house had water in it back in 2004 so we lifted it 2', unfortunately it wasn't enough for this flood. This is worst one we've ever had out here. It's going to be a lot of work but we'll make it through this mess. I want to say thank you to everyone who has posted in this thread. Even though yall' can't be here to help, knowing that yall' would if possible still brings comfort to us during this mess.
  12. Thanks everyone. The river has been dropping, another foot and the water will be out. This house is going up on 8' stilts this summer.
  13. Well I have 2' of water in my house and the river finally crested at 48'.
  14. I set up a trust and Efiled. It took around 3 months after submitting my Form 1 to get my stamp. I'm also going to build a suppressor once my latest stamp comes in. I'm going to SBR one more lower before 41P goes in to effect in June. I hear you on truck parts, currently my steering gear is in need of a rebuild asap.
  15. Haven't been on in awhile and wanted to see what's been going on. I've been busy (about to go replace a front seal on an 03' F150 V6 actually) and have been living on ar15.com buying and selling stuff. This turned in to this and this turned in to this. Now it's time to stock up on ammo since it's an election year and people will start to loose their minds and buy up everything come fall. I'm so happy that the availability and price of truck parts isn't affected by random acts of violence and who gets elected.
  16. Found the issue. In my rush to get the brakes back on during a rain storm with nothing but an open sided carport for shelter, it seems that I didn't properly install the parking brake lever on the driver's side brake shoes. It wasn't located in the slot on the rear shoe and had become wedged at angle. On the passenger's side I found the star wheel had froze up. Once everything was straightened out my brakes went back to working as they should.
  17. We used to have chickens but everything kept killing them even though they were in a pen and locked up every night. I may try again and just blow up anything that messes with them.
  18. Everything was working fine up until about a week ago and I had replaced everything and flushed the system months ago. I smooth forgot to check the rod, thanks.
  19. They do it at low speed regardless of temperature.
  20. That was this past summer during the flood, I was hauling suplies back to my house The brakes were replaced a couple months ago so I know that wasn't the cause.
  21. This is on a 96' 2500 12v 4x4 auto. I replaced the rear brake shoes, drums, upgraded to GM cylinders and flushed the system. Front brakes are in excellent condition. Everything has been working fine until about a week ago. The rear brakes are really grabby and will lock up easily until the ABS system kicks in. I haven't had a chance to pull the drums yet but there are no visible leakes and everything looks ok. Could the proportion valve have crapped the bed?
  22. That was back when I could afford to assemble some cool AR's. That one has an 11.5" barrel and had to be registered with the BATFE. The suppressor (not pictured) also had to be registered. It's my do all carbine and will put the hurt on some hogs.
  23. This was laying on the slab under my carport
  24. @notlimah The install is pretty easy. Don't worry about drilling through the cross member, your not going to hurt anything. Love them or hate them DOR builds the best adjustable track bar for our trucks hands down.
  25. Best version of this song to date.
