  1. Which pins? I tried reversing the pins in the "high beam" plug but it didn't make a difference. @Mopar1973Man I've got right at $400 in my new lights including the housings. If the worst thing I have to figure out is why high beam/low beam is reversed then I'm a happy camper lol.
  2. I've met a lot of Cajuns and none of them were offended by "coonass". Whoever wrote that garbage on Wikipedia about "working class" and "middle class" cajuns is obviously an idiot.
  3. Just getting the lenses back on then it's time for a test drive. The only issue I'm having is that high beam/low beam is revered even though the all the connections seem to be correct.
  4. That's the exact response I get from everyone, it was the response I gave to my friend who got me started. For whatever reason the whole thing is a blast. Eating the peeps and then running gives you a sugar high that is similar to an adrenaline dump which seriously ups the difficulty of making accurate shots durning the shooting stage. They were great! We had an actual coonass cooking them and you could tell, the seasoning was perfect.
  5. It all started earlier this year, around March I believe. A friend of mine mentioned that he was going to be participating in an obstacle course called Cola Warrior and that I should try to get a run slot and go with him. I had no idea what Cola Warrior was about so I starter doing some research. Cola Warrior was started by a former .Mil guy who now works as a contractor overseas. It was designed as a physical and metal challenge that makes you go "WTF am I doing?" Lol. Basically there are regional events held across the country with the top 10 finishers eligible to compete in the finale dubbed "Cola Warrior Classic". All of the events have the same basic layout with varying degrees of difficulty: *There are 5 obstacles and you must legitimately attempt each one *After the obstacles you have to field strip an AK while eating two rails of Peeps *After that is a 1/2 mile run *At the end of the 1/2 mile run is a shooting range with steel rifle and pistol targets *The last thing is the "chug" where you drink six 12oz carbonated beverages of your choice (no alcohol allowed) as quickly as you can and then hurl. Obviously after finding out what it was all about I HAD to do it! I attended the local event called Cola Warrior Texas back in June and placed 5th out of 75 participants. I met a ton of great people from all around the country and made a lot of new friends. The whole thing sounds absolutely insane but after CWT I'm hooked. Awesome prize pack! This thing revolves around firearms, especially AR15's as those are what you compete with. The rifle I competed with.
  6. I've been eyeing the projector retrofit that @Me78569 did but didn't want to spend that kind of money right now so I just bought some replacement housings off of Amazon for the time being. These are the ones I purchased: SPPC Crystal Headlights Black With Corner Light For Dodge Ram - (Pair) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JBIAC3W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_4l25zb405J5YX Since my factory housings were literally falling apart I needed a replacement ASAP. These looked like they would be a nice upgrade over the factory style headlights and the clear lenses would be perfect for the projector retrofit. The plan was to run these as is for now and retrofit some Morimoto Mini H1's later on but that planned changed immediately after turning on my new lights for the first time. These things are absolutely HORRIBLE. You can barely see past the width of the truck on low or high beam. Straight on they do a decent job though the beam is anything but focused with random hot spots and shadows everywhere. Looking at the reflector housing I noticed all sorts of debris that were chromed over, including a strand of hair. I was still debating if I was going to do the projectors right now or wait a bit when my fiancé said "order the projectors, this is garbage" so I did lol. The retrofit kit will be here after lunch and I'm as giddy as a schoolgirl. I'll post pics and let y'all know how everything goes.
  7. My mirrors are in bad shape and will be the next thing I replace. What kind of support brackets are y'all talking about? I currently have tow mirrors but I'm not sure if they are factory or if the previous owner installed them.
  8. The "FEMA weather machine" is just a funny thing I picked up from the guys at the competition/cult I'm apart of lol. These events are held in several locations across the country and we lovingly refer to them as FEMA camps. The MSN is full of nothing but lying agenda driven blowhards who live their lives around "feelings" instead of facts. Case in point: I have a friend that lives in Nevada who lost several of his friends in the shooting at Las Vegas. Multiple people from that were there told him there was more than one gunman as there were shots being fired from the ground. The MSN never said a word but his local news has been talking about it non stop.
  9. All of the flooding we've had the last two years is very strange. There has never been back to back floods like this before, which is why we weren't all that worried about being flooded out again this soon. We thought we had time to build up funds for new construction but were wrong. Before all of the flooding started we were on year 4 of the worst drought to ever hit this area. It's just been one extreme to the next. I'm blaming it on the FEMA weather machine lol.
  10. Thankfully we didn't invest much in it after the last flood. The plan was to eventually build a beach house on 10' pilings but we got smashed again before we could do anything. My dad's house is about 8' up and he stayed dry so 10' would have been plenty. The whole thing is strange, nothing like this has EVER happened in over 100 years. Normally when it floods it's just the people who live out here that are affected, this time it was a different story. The destruction was massive and spread out all along the Texas Gulf Coast. I have a friend that lives a couple hours away who lost his house, shop, and a truck in the flood waters from a different river. His mom also lost her home as well. Even now when driving around you'll see trash pilled up along the roadside from gutted homes waiting to be picked up. Many people are still unable to return to what's left of their homes. These are people who don't live in a flood plain and were told they had nothing to worry about. They lost everything they owned except for the clothes on their backs.
  11. It's severely damaged and unlivable. The river gave us all a big ol' "EFF YOU!" by breaking every record since 1913. Keep in mind the 1913 flood was before any dams had be constructed on the river to regulate it's flow. Just say no to looters. I had just got back from Mississippi with the new scope that I bought from a buddy of mine and was scoping things out lol.
  12. I was in Mississippi doing an obstacle course/shooting competition when the storm came in. The winds topped out at 40 MPH at the house which wasn't a problem at all. The 30" of rain from the house all the way up river is what got everyone.
  13. Yep. This year it decided to beat last year by over 4'. Me too. It was pretty bad, the city of Wharton (15 minutes away from me) was mostly flooded and was an island with no way in or out except by boat.
  14. Haven't been on in awhile, lifes been crazy to say the least. Thanks to Harvey we had the worst flood since 1913 with most of the homes in my area severely damaged or destroyed (including mine). Still trying to recover from this mess and it will be quite some time before we a have a regular home again. We're alive and nothing irreplaceable was lost, both of which we are very thankful for. Just wanted to stop in and say Howdy to let everyone know I'm still alive and that I haven't forgotten about this place.
  15. I'll check everything you listed. Would you mind telling me what the correct speed sensor ohm value is? I normally do a lot of research before asking questions and prefer to not ask for handouts but I've got a lot on my plate so to speak right now and really appreciate any help I can get
  16. This is a very simple but very effective mod. The results are quite noticeable, especially if your running larger tires like I am (35x12.50).
  17. Howdy all. I've been having an issue lately the brakes on my 96" 2500 4x4. Sometimes when hitting the brakes the pedal will go to the floor and I can barely stop. It happens at random and the ABS light never comes on. Yesterday I unplugged the ABS and my brakes started working normal again. I grew up driving trucks without ABS so I'm not going to kill myself or anything with it being disabled for now. I would like to get it figured out though but I'm not sure where to start.
  18. Merry Christmas everyone! I hope everyone has a great day!
  19. I hope everyone is staying nice and warm this Christmas Eve. It's a brisk 70 degrees here tonight so it's not feeling all that much like Christmas right now ?
  20. @Mopar1973Man Before I did the flush my coolant would always turn brown within a couple of weeks. The fact that it hasn't changed colors at all means something has changed for the better lol.
  21. @Me78569 Thanks ? @Dieselfuture That's garbage, it shouldn't cost y'all anything since it was a confirmed hit and run. I hope your wife gets her car back soon. Woke up to no water this morning and found that the wind had blown a piece of insulation off of one of the pipes under the house. After 20 minutes with the bernzomatic I had it flowing again. It ended up getting down to 27 last night which was a harder freeze than was anticipated.
  22. It's been almost 5 months since flushing the radiator with Evapo-Rust and the coolant is still bright green. I am still VERY impressed with how well it removed the rust from my cooling system ?
  23. Well it's been almost 4 months now and the truck is still running great! I've been so busy I never have gotten around to installing new gauges or tuning the pump
