  1. That would be awesome, I would love to learn some more about these old 1st gens! I seen this listing and my jaw hit the floor, I couldn't believe the price he was asking for it. And it's. 4x4!!!!! I'll try to take a peak at the steering box tomrow before I load it up on the trailer, ( I thought those were very common on the first year the came out and faded away later down the road) I don't think the KDP has ever been tabbed, but I will confirm that tomorrow with the guy. I know he told me that the 1st and 2nd sycro in the tranny was going, but I talked to my friend of mine that owns a tranny shop and he said it could be going out or it could be the wrong oil in it, something to do with the wrong oil will wipe the fiber of the brass and it will grab hard, something I have to look into, but he is including another good running tranny with it!! I'm going to check for blow by, check axles and some other thing. I wouldn't imagine to much stuff is wrong with this pickup seeing how he owns a tractor shop and keeps the maintence up. ill definitely look at the fuel lines,
  2. So, after many months of hunting day in and day out. I have finally found what's seems to be a decent 12 valve. The guy has owned it since 19,000 miles. He knows everything that has ever been done to this pickup, I'm going to be picking it up tomrow, it's about a 6 hr drive from where I am. I have done tons of reading, more then my brain can handle probably, but I wan to make sure I know what I'm getting into. What should I be looking for? Any tips and tricks? Let me through in here that I just want it as my daily driver, and sometimes a towe pickup, I'm not looking to turn the pump up at all, I am just going to leave it stock. I want the mpg . It's a 92, I'm including a pic and a description on it from what the guy had said, Thanks in advance!! Nate
  3. I don't understand why people would want a 18 year old pickup, I realize the aftermarket part of it, but that's even easier to get caught with that stuff. Scrap metal? Motor? Either way, it's just not right. We work for what we want, and then to have someone come by and take it... I swear if anyone was to even step foot around mine and looked at it wrong, they would have a 17 Glock in there face. I really want to put a dead man switch in mine just for a peice of mind, @TFaoro my eyes are open around here, Craigslist, and around Utah when I go down
  4. Wtf, people and stealing these pickups !! That sucks!! Sorry man! I really hope you get it back!! I'm heading down to Utah Friday from my place up here in north Idaho, I'm going to keep a eye out for it on the way down and up!!
  5. but how would that be in power difference? I have done "some" reading on them, even if the pump had a new PSG..... what other things would effect it not having any power? did he not just flash it and then send it on its way?
  6. Ya I'm interested to see what he says, cause I am sending him the shitty one back, I'm not sending the good one back, but I am going to nail his *** to a board and hammer him with a lot of questions, makes me wonder if he does this on purpose so it doesn't have to come out of his pocket when he warranties these pumps, that's my biggest thought about all of this. It's crazy, I honestly never thought that there would be a difference between any of the 15x. I'm thinking what Mike said about the used PSG and maybe a bad flash!!?? Either way I'll keep y'all posted on this
  7. So I called BC, left a message. Must not be that important because he never got back to me this week. I'll call again next week, now down to the nitty gritty. i had some time today, and I bought a new radiator awhile back so I decided to put it in this morning, I saw how much room I had to work with and I couldn't pass up the opportunity of putting in my old pump, got it all put in, new belt and radiator, primed it... Started right up.... Let it come up to temp, shut it off, started right back up!!! No hard start!! ( I learned that the battery cables and very important lol ) that's what started my not starting problem ) Yippee!! Packed up all my tools and took it for drive, my boost was right back up to 37 even 38 now.... This pump has a lot more spunk to it then the other one he sent me! I am baffled at how someone claims to rebuild "pumps" that are totally way different then the other.... Needless to say I am never dealing with blue chip again and I am going to shy people away and tell them to go for DAP
  8. ill have to pull my receipt and find out, im pretty sure i paid for new
  9. so i decided to re read BC website..... just for shits and giigles...... I found this.... NEW COMPUTERS When we say new, we mean new. Our new computer modules are brand new genuine Bosch upgraded units.
  10. I am going to call him on monday Nick, and see what he has to say. i agree with you that its not a new pump, my mileage is way down and i dont have the boost i use to..... which is really frustrating cause i am dynoing in CDA Idaho sept 10th through Alligator performance... im going to see what he has to say, and more then likely i will be putting the old one back on to see if it had "hot hard start" im 50/50 whether it was the pump and cables and starter. I am never dealing with BC again after all this mike..... learning the hard way!! Dripley, if i have to buy another one, its through DAP, or vulcan like mike said! hands down i have had excellent service through DAP, i just dont want to buy another one!! Maybe a p-pump coming in the future? back and 4th.......with this thought!!
  11. Well I will be definitely calling him on Monday and asking some questions. I just don't want him to be like, well I warranties it once I ain't doing it again so your up the **** creek without a paddle, I remember you saying that to Mike. How much is it to have the core sent In and have it fixed?
  12. it made me wonder if that new pump he sent me hadn't properly been fixed with the burnt looking silicone. like i said, im half tempted to throw the old one back on!! and see if it really did have hot hard start! And yes, both pumps are from Blue chip, im sure it has been fixed "electronically" or i would at least hope. i spent a fair amount of time talking to him before i bought my first one, and i haven't talked to him yet about this other pump he sent me, I am going to ask about the power difference, i no i didnt mess with any gasket's except the air horn but they were bran new, from the dealership, i bought awhile back, i just double checked all my lines and going into town...... ill see what it does.... im a little frustrated over this..
  13. the new one that i got has the black on it, my old one is the clear silicone looking, just in looking at them there is a huge diffrenece! I am half tempted to throw the old one back and to see if it even had hot hard start! im thinking between my starter and cables it might not of!!
  14. I'm wondering , I can't post pics from my iPhone but tomorrow I'm posting where I think it has been fixed because it's not like the old one. Can you turn down these pumps at all? Through blue chips stealth plate, with the hex key pin point bolt and a little eye outlet from the quad, only way he said he would warranty it) I'm double checking the connection tomorrow. And yes I did a boost leak test on the clean side yesterday, it actually blew the test boot off at 22 psi of charging, I even took of my air filter, thinking it was choking the turbo, only saw 31 psi.
  15. So I just got done replacing my vp44, after I was getting (hard start or so I thought I'm 50/50 with this I don't know if it was my starter and cables or actually a hard hot start) I got the new one in, checked all connections, made sure the key way is in the groove, and started putting everything back together. Got it started once to have the starter go out the next startup.... Put new starter in and all new cables, I finally get to test drive it. ( I also have a wire tap) so I went for a test run..... And to me it doesn't feel like it had the spunk like my old pump did. ( if that makes any sense) I'm 100% sure of this because I lost about 7 psi of boost.( with old I was getting 37 on high side, new one I'm only seeing 30-31) I am double checking for boost leaks tomorrow on my exhaust side, my clean air side is good. So my question is, how the hell does a vp44 vary in that much of a power difference??? Is that even possible ??? I know the new one I put in has been/had something done because it doesn't have the clear gel like the other one does.
  16. WTF people and stealing things, really!! Sorry man! ill keep a good eye out for it, and im sending word over into montana and wyoming for a couple friends to keep a eye out also! Hope ya get it back man!!
  17. Ya that wouldn't be to good in the winter around here
  18. Then I'm definitely keeping it, that wouldn't be good to get rid off . I just picked up some jb weld, now I have to get the other stuff off before I can do it
  19. ill give it a shot trying to re seal it, and then i guess if it dont work, ill buy that canister from ya TFaoro, thanks yall
  20. I might take you up on it, I'm not sure what that wiring harness is, I know the one on the bottom is the water deal? I also half the big line kit on mine so it would have to work with it. I have put high tack gasket seal on it to see what it does, it's hit and miss now but I still don't like the idea of having a air leak in my fuel system. Is the 05 better then the 24 valve setup?
  21. so after having surging for a month or two after startup, I finally found my air leak. problem is, its on the top where the two wires come into. how do i fix that? can i pull the rubber boot off of it and replace it? then re solder the wire on the inside? is there a special type of solder to use? i dont want to solder it and the stuff comes off and goes into the IP, ( not good at soldering) or am I screwed and im buying a new one, is there anyway that i could block it off> what does the wires do exactly on this.... i grabbed a pic offline to show where its at.
  22. all the edge sensors are the same as quadzilla, i just helped my buddy install his a couple days ago and he switched from edge ATT, as far as the gauges, you can go mechanical? alot better is something happens with the iqaud app, i have been having a couple problems with mine lately, i got both ,mechanical and bluetooth, but i have bigger plans in the future so im keeping them around
