  1. After lots of reading about my truck, I have decided I'm doing ok.I change my oil every 3000 miles, and the fuel filter at the same interval.I'm now running the two cycle oil in my fuel too.So! with my new vp44 I think it should last a while longer then it did the first time.My mileage was at 61,000 miles with the first failure. I'm thinking one of the reasons was because of the fact I have not been driving the truck much. In the last 6 years I usually only put around 400 miles a year on it.Winter time it just sits in the yard, and I plug in the block heater.I think I will be driving it more now to keep it exercised.Opinions are appreciated.
  2. I'm looking for opinions! What type of information is available on oil filters for the 24v engine. In this day and age is there any real differnces?
  3. I want to introduce myselfI am a old man of 68 and own a 2002 dodge 3500 stock truck.61,000 miles.Just put in a vp44 fuel pump, and thanks to the information from those that have this site, I managed to get it done, and the truck is running good, and no engine light.I am now learning about diesels, after retiring as a mechanical tech from a water department. Were never to old to learn!I don't have lots to post about becuase I don't know a lot about my own truck. Sounds Dumb don't itThis really seems like a nice place to learn stuff, and I will be reading lots.Again please forgive me if i ask to many questions.I live in a small town named Granfiled Ok. population 1000Enough for now!
