  1. I run a 62/68/12sxe with 7x.011 SAC’s. At 70mph I’m ~7-8 psi and 670ish egt’s. Nice daily driver set up.
  2. Lol alright I’ll try again in the morning. Looking forward to the smoothing of the ecm to Quad handoff. The surge has been driving me nuts.
  3. Ok just tried, unsuccessfully, with the box still connected to truck and now have a cel. Dash was going nuts during the process.
  4. So, when updating the box does it need to be disconnected from the truck?
  5. I’m an idiot. Never turned the level back up to 3. Haven’t changed a power level in a long time and it slipped my mind. Thanks guys, sorry for wasting your time.
  6. So I decided to finally instal a lock up switch, and it works fantastic. But now, if high idle is turned on on the Quad, it turns on no matter what the outside or coolant temp is. I have to disable my turbo timer or it comes on. It stays on past the 120 degree warm up setting on start up as well. It never did this before so my question is what the heck happened? Is it because of the jumper in the trans relay? Please help me understand lol.
  7. I’m running 7x.011’s with a 62/68/12 and I have my starting fuel at 75. It still puffs a little on a hard take off.
  8. Mike, I’ll do my best. My Mac is from 2009 and I can no longer update it lol! I’ll see what I can do with this virtual box. How does one get Windows for it?
  9. Based on the data log, between 700-900. Does happen around 1000 also. Also, went to town and filled the tank, did some shopping. When I got back into my neighborhood, I couldn’t make it do it. Same conditions as the data log. 2nd gear, ~12-13mph, 4-6% tps.
  10. I’ve got it starting at 80, and it holds 80 till about 4 psi. I was moving it all around trying to get this stumble to go away. I’ve had it as low as 70 to eliminate smoke at off idle large throttle input. At 80 smoke isn’t bad at all though. Just a little bit. Also, this thing doesn’t even know what gear I’m in so I don’t know how accurate the slip rating can be. Yeah, no idea how to do that. I have a build date of Aug 30, 2017 and am running 2.7. If it involves computers, all I have is Mac.
  11. Re did valve lash...found #5 intake to be extremely loose. Tightened back up, still does it. I datalogged it this time and attached it here. First time so hopefully it shows up! iQuad-2018-04-30-12.00.38374159208.csv Most prevalent in the 4-6% tps range
  12. Just did that when I did the turbo/injectors so I may have done it wrong. Thank you, I’ll let her sit overnight and recheck tomorrow morning.
  13. I just installed some DFI 7x.011’s and a 62/68/12 to go with my Quad v2.0. Now, any tps input below ~7 results in a stumble of sorts. Like driving about 20mph in 2nd gear (auto) it’ll surge on and off. TPS and canbus are not fluctuating at this time. Also, has a Timbo apps in it. Im wondering if it’s a result of the large injectors not popping correctly with the low tps input. Anything over about 7 tps and she runs like a dream. No codes. Any ideas?
  14. Yes, and it shows gears...just not the gears im usually in. I will make mentioned changes and see where we are at. Raising the scaling will lesson the effect/ramp up of the wiretap fueling yeah?
  15. Thank you for clarifying that. I was reading Me’s how to tune thread and it said level three was canbus only then down the page more it said level three had wiretap. Got confused. I like the 5% min pump tap%. Truck is very responsive to it. I’ve def out grown the hx35 now though. Edit: I asked earlier prolly got lost, but does the gear & lock up indicators not work for our generation trucks?
  16. At 64 I’m at 5-7psi on the quad and 6-8 on the isspro. Level three has zero wiretap correct? Or is it level two now with the update?
  17. Here is my wire tap settings. I think I need to raise the tps pump min to 30%. At 64 mph I’m at 20% tps and engine load.
  18. Are you referring to the pump stretch here? Also, on the app, is the gear indicator and lock up indicator supposed to work on our trucks? Or is that for the newer vehicles? Mine shows whatever gear it wants and never shows lockup.
  19. I’m away from the truck for the evening I’ll post up my tune so far when I get home from work in the morning.
  20. Hey guys. Just installed the quad on my 99. I’ve never dealt with wire tap fueling as I’ve only used a power puck and then a smarty. I have 7x.0085 sac injectors and stock hx35w. I’m in the process of building my dd tune and made an observation I’m hoping y’all can help clarify. At lvl 3 I’ll get the full canbus fueling when trying to accelerate to pass someone. Once in level 4 of 6, same conditions I’ll only see about 2800-2900 canbus but I’ll be blowing the doors off the thing. My guess is...with the wiretap I’m using less tps but getting same or more fuel from the wiretap. I’m just trying to learn why things work the way they do. Thanks!
  21. Yup, those are actually the plugs/connectors I was referring to. I wish the previous owner of my truck had done that. I bought my ‘99 in 2016 and dialectic greased everything I could after the symptoms started. I think it was just to late for such an old stock truck. It sat a lot also. The second owner only drove an average of 7k miles a year since 2001.
  22. After putting new cables, terminals, alternator cable, batteries, and 2 alternators in my truck I was still having issues. My alternator was testing good but I was still getting the unlock/lock issue. I found an article online somewhere talking about the little ground connectors on the passenger side causing issues. My new cables spliced in before these connections so I just cut them out and respliced. I now have gone a few months without issue.
  23. Mike, I didn't remove the fuse. I didn't have a screw driver with me to do it. Unplugged the field wire and checked voltage at batts, 12.7. Now, I put my Napa brand alternator in and took my Bosch to get bench tested, it passed autozones tests. They don't know if it did a ripple test but the paper says it passed lamp/diode trio, regulator, and rectifier. No cel, no codes present. Hasn't done it with the Napa alternator but it's putting out .4vac at idle which I don't like.
  24. OK so I unplugged the two wire plug from the alternator and it still locking unlocking. Now I'm really lost .
