No vehicle speed on IQuad
Good news is I was able to tap off the ford vss signal and tie it into the wire that use to go to the dodge abs unit and now I have vehicle speed on the iQuad and it's spot on with the ford speedo and my gps unit. Now lockup and gear info is working. Also my indicators seem to be correlating with shifts and even lockup now that I switched the ground feed on the brake pedal switch. Happy days!

No vehicle speed on IQuad
What is a normal cruising RPM at 70 mph? I have 373 gears and 315 tires. Just trying to get an idea of what i should have locked up.

Ok, thanks...i just wanted to make sure the quad did the calculation.

Just to be clear, the value shown on the iquad isn't atmospheric pressure being shown plus actual boost is it? should that value read 0 at idle and if the engine is off but the key is on? I have read a couple post where people were seeing the same values as me at idle and thought their MAP was bad but it turned out to be the value of atmospheric pressure being shown and not actual boost pressure.

slight chugging between 30-40 mph
Thats what i'm thinking too. I'm gonna get a new sensor first before I start messing with anything else.

slight chugging between 30-40 mph
So on lunch today I had my Quad at level 4 (base loaded cals) and starting at 40 mph with a slight accel it would start chugging a little. Set the tune to level 0 and it went away completely. I'm guessing the base cals need to be tweaked a little for my application or the fact that my map sensor is always reading 12psi or higher all the time is causing a fueling issue.

Makes sense then. Thank you so much for your help. I made sure to donate cause you're help has been so appreciated.

I will check this on my lunch today and reply back

No vehicle speed on IQuad
Hmmm, ok so maybe I was getting lockup before but because i dont have a VSS and only my transmission speed sensor it's not doing any calculating. My current gear on the iquad always say L too. I'm assuming that since i'm not exactly stock on my setup i'm not going to have a lot of the information the iquad gives.

Ok. i will switch it. The iquad is supposed to show lockup correct? the icon at the lower right corner of the large center gauge.

So youre saying i should switch it to when the brakes are applied its grounded and when they are not it's open?

I have been getting an overboost/turbo overspeed code every once in a while. Wheres a good place to get a quality sensor?

slight chugging between 30-40 mph
Just finished up my fummins build and aside from the torque converter not locking up and my map sensor saying I have 12psi at idle everything is fine lol. However on my drives to work at around 30-40 mph the truck has a slight bucking or chugging that's not terrible but enough to be an annoyance. It goes away as I accelerate a little but if i'm just cruising along at those speeds its pretty constant. If i increase my power level to one of the higher settings on my quadzilla its less noticeable. Any ides what could be causing this? I have done and custom calibrations to the V2 quadzilla tunes, they are the basic tunes that are preloaded.

No vehicle speed on IQuad
I got my brake switch sense connected so that when the brake is not depressed the sense wire is connected to ground. Still no lockup according to the iquad display. I haven't had a chance to check the AC voltage from my alternator yet but its next on my list of things to check.

Well i got out the multimeter and probed the map sensor. I'm getting 4.99V between the supply and sensor ground. Lowest i've seen on my iquad is 12psi. Is it safe to assume my map sensor is shot?

So is that normal then? I just want to make sure before I start tearing into my wiring.

Quadzilla Adrenaline V2 Testing
13 psi is the boost pressure I see on my iQuad, not on an actual mechanical gauge just to be clear.

Ok, so could this be a ground issue? Alternator? Keep in mind this is a fummins swap so there could be wiring issues. Any insight is appreciated.

Is it normal to see 12-14 psi of boost at idle? I was trying to find an answer in this topic but couldn't find a direct answer. Just curious if my map sensor is going out.

No vehicle speed on IQuad
Thanks for the link, wish i had found that earlier. Looking at it however shows the same contradiction i've been talking about. Look ant the brake switch on ABS system page, it shows pin 1 open to pin 2. Look at Automatic transmission system page 1, it shows pin 1 closed to pin 2. Both have the same white/pink wire so it's not two different switches. Are these diagrams just showing it this way cause the ABS is looking for an open signal and the trans is looking for a closed signal? Sorry for all the questions, I really appreciate all your help.

No vehicle speed on IQuad
Ok. I've looked at a couple of electrical diagrams and some are conflicting. One shows the brake sense being connected to ground when the pedal is depressed and others show it being connected to ground when the pedal is not depressed. I'm guessing its supposed to be grounded when the pedal is not depressed because not having the wire hooked up at all would be the same as open from the ground connection and i'm not getting lockup. When you say speed your talking about transmission speed right? not speed from the ABS computer?

No vehicle speed on IQuad
I noticed that the VSS comes from the ABS unit only because that's where the speed sensor on the rear diff goes to. I'm wondering if I can tap off the VSS on the rear diff of my ford and tie it into the VSS in wire on the PCM and everything will work like it did on the dodge.

I still have to bring that wire inside the truck. I'm pretty sure the brake pedal switch is a negative trigger while the ford is a positive trigger so i'll have to install a relay to get the proper ground trigger for it.

I don't have a check engine light for my setup so no worries on it throwing codes. another question is does the pcm use the vss from the abs for torque converter lock up as well? I was on the freeway today for the first time and the converter didn't lock up once on my 30 mile drive.
