  1. Perfect. Thanks for your help. Been reading like crazy to learn the Quadzilla better. I am trying to get 18mpg in the city, but winter fuel has messed all my data up. I dropped timing a few days ago and it seemed to pick up some power, shall see if mpgs improve. Tim
  2. Me78569 - You talking about the Canbus fuel sliders correct? If so I have them set as follows: 0psi: 80 - goes up 1 until 4si 5psi: 86 - goes up 2 until 9 psi 10psi: 97 - goes up 3 until 20 psi 22psi: 125 24psi: 130 26psi: 135 28psi: 110 30+psi: 85
  3. Good afternoon everyone, I did some searching on the site before posting, but would like some other insight. My truck bucks between 40 and 50 mph and rpms are around 1100-1200 on level 2 and 3; I have not gone above level 3 as pump is not tapped. I feel it may be timing related as it did not buck today when I had the Quad on level 0. Current tune set up is below. Do you guys have any suggestions where to move timing to stop the bucking? Tune: Mopar1973man Economy Tune Max Load Timing Offset: 1 degree Low PSI Timing Reduct: 3 degrees Timing Reduct Scale: 40% Light Throttle Timing Adv: 1 degree Light Throttle Load Limit: 25% RPM Timing Max 1500rpm: 14 2000rpm: 16.5 2500rpm: 19 3000rpm: 21.5 Max: 24 I attempted to data log today, but closed app before I could import data. I will get data tonight when I leave work. Thanks, Tim
  4. Good afternoon everyone, Over the past 3 weeks my truck has been throwing a P0122 code and I've tried doing several apps resets and cleared codes several times. Figured apps was on its way out, ordered a Timbo APPS on Friday and it arrived today. After about 30 mins and a relative easy install truck has never accelerated or ran this good. It goes from 0-33psi and holds psi through all gears. Thanks to this site for saving my sanity and keeping truck on the road again! Tim
  5. Dripley - I have not tapped the pump and have only run the quad on level 2 or level 3 thus far, but I have zero smoke even under heavy throttle. I have a slight haze but it vanishes quickly under WOT. The DAP 100hp VCO injectors are clean. I'm sure if I turned quad up and tapped pump it would smoke, but I like the clean power. I have ran Mopar1973man's economy tune, mid injector tow tune and Me78569's medium injector daily tune. I am currently running the medium injector daily tune and love how the truck reacts, even on level 2. Tim
  6. Good evening everyone, Just a small update - I downloaded the daily tune from the website and have gotten 18.2 mpg in town using level 2. I still have to tap the pump, but am very happy with the injectors and quad! Tim
  7. I have been filling up at 1/2 a tank. Filled up yesterday 1/2 tank, used 20.405 gal and went 313 miles. I did tow my camper home from storage 30 miles so figured this may of caused the lower mpg. Shall see how this tank goes. I'd love to get different tires, but the 285s have 3k miles on them so I'll be running them until they need replacement. I'm happy with power and if it means I average 15 that's fine, its alot better than 12-13 I was averaging in winter. Tim
  8. Good evening everyone, Just little update after a couple tanks. Truck still runs amazing, I put my wife in the back of her seat and made her drop her phone because she did not expect it. Truck is an absolute dream to drive. No complaints about the 100hp DAP injectors or the Quad Adrenaline. I have averaged 15mpg using @Mopar1973Man's economy tune and @Me78569 mid injector daily tune. I am running the Quad on setting 3 as I have not installed the BD stealth cover yet to tap the pump. One question for everyone, will tapping the pump increase mpg? Tim
  9. Nice! I don't have head studs, but would like to see near 20mpg once i figure out some parameters and adjust your economy tune for my 7x.009s
  10. @Mopar1973Man I was amazed how much truck picked up just buy turning quad to level 3 with your tune. Truck runs fine and starts right up. Going to say sound is normal and possibly due to bigger injectors. Tim
  11. yeah mine leveled out after about 30 seconds once it started after install, but the videos above are videos of truck idling once warmed up. Tim
  12. Rotax - Not sure I understand this part: it pushes it at least once you run it for a few minutes. Tim
  13. Quick question everyone, It has been nearly a week since I've installed the Quad, I have been running it on the default setting after I downloaded @Mopar1973Man economy tune. I turned quad up to level 3 today and wow.... what a difference truck is a rocket. My question is: My father in law thinks the sound that I think is a lope from injectors is not supposed to be there. He thinks it is air in the system. I have not had any hard start issues since installing injectors on 4/20/19. Anyone think the sound in the video is normal or possibly an injector/air issue? Thanks, Tim
  14. I got the tune loaded into the quad and have been running it on level 0 just to data log. I have to find time to get to a back road so I can figure out several parameters so I can adjust tune to my injectors. @Mopar1973Man does my truck sound like it should with 100hp injectors? (Video below and above.) Truck definitely sounds different and i feel the knock sound from before is gone. Thanks, Tim
  15. @Mopar1973Man okay thanks. new to the tuning game. Ill load your 7x.009 tune and run it on way home tonight and data log truck Tim
  16. My only complaint is EGT's can get a little high. I get out of out when I see 1k, but once TC locks up egt's rise from around 700 to 1k pretty fast. I do see anywheres from 20-25 psi of boost. I have a stock hx35 and a boost elbow. I did a WOT pull yesterday and saw 30 psi and egt maxed out at little under 1100. I did rebuild a hx35 turbo cartridge and was going to swap it into truck as current hx35 is leaking a little oil. Now I am thinking I may need to jump into a bigger compressor wheel, but I have not loaded any custom tunes as of yet. I am hoping egt's come down once I change timing and fuel. All in all, I am very happy with the 100hp sticks and looking forward to playing with the quad. Tim
  17. Here is a screen shot of readings from quad. Truck idling in park just below 800rpm. Don't mind oil pressure, pretty sure I need a new sensor. I am going to keep it on stock setting for about a week and data log truck to see where timing sits before I start to play with quad. Tim
  18. @Mopar1973Man I'll get a screen shot from adrenaline once I drive to work this afternoon. I just got quad installed yesterday.Truck runs a lot better with 100hp injectors. It used to fall on its face once in od and lose boost. Now once it gets locked in od it takes off and boost goes from 10-20 quick. Tim
  19. Took truck for a drive to warm it up today. Once warm it idles in park around 750. I have attached a video of it idling.
  20. Mike, I read the rpm off my phone quick while it was idling, I may have read it wrong, but it idles between the 2nd and 3rd line below the 1k mark on gauge. It def idles lower than it did with old injectors. I'll get another reading tomorrow morning. Tim
  21. Good evening everyone, Just an update. Spent today putting injectors in and deleting the factory lift pump from side of block along with installing new return lines. Truck runs amazing now. Idles at 750rpm with about 6-7% load. The "knock" has disappeared and it has a slight lope to it. Didn't get a chance to install the adrenaline, but can't wait to get that installed.
  22. Lenny, Nate and Mitchel All great people. Highly recommended. I have shopped at other diesel shops before, not anymore!
  23. Just wanted to give a shoot out to @dieselautopower for the awesome customer service over the last few days with ordering parts for my truck and questions on turbo rebuild! Very knowledgeable staff! Tim
  24. I'm sure they are bad. I have new DAP 100hp injectors waiting to be installed along with an Adrenaline. It should run better once I find time to install everything. Tim
