Value added tax we have to pay 20% on all goods its included in prices over here but when we order from over seas its added on. We pay that on pretty much everything. Also have tax our vehicles every year some are £600 a year they tax everything in the UK

Well after speaking to around 20 shops/builders ? i ended up getting the fire punk comp rebuild kit with billet input (1600USD) triple disc converter and HD flex plate for (1650USD) I stripped my OD housing this week and found a snap ring completely missing and the wave snap ring damaged. New parts should be here over the xmas period hopefully the new set up should be solid. I do have 1 question to anyone who builds trans what tollerance should i set the end play to using the billet input shaft? Or should i just use the atsg manual for all tollerances. Thanks everyone

Thanks for the input everyone. Triple disc it is. @Dieselfuture so true man. It was like driving a ticking time bomb.. but i will get there soon hopefully with a pretty solid set up.

Well my 47re decided to start making noises and lose reverse this morning. Im in the UK and going to need a complete trans or rebuild kit inc TC shipped to the UK my power goal will be 450-500hp who will people reccomend for my needs. Hoping not to spend more than around 3500USD. Thanks guys

I used spicer clutches with the lube they supply. When you get the clutches they will say thin on some make sure you get the config correct also the steels are coned make sure they go in the correct way.

It did but the truck sat for 4 years so think that killed it i fitted sealed unit instead

All done guys going to do the other side as it has slight play in it. Nice easy job this one was well past it only 1 bearing had any grease

Ive ordered spicer UJ and i havent ordered bearings as mine are ok but i will keep in mind the recomendation cheers

Thats good going 400k! The other side has very little play i will change the one and compare with the other side. I think this side may have been renewed before as it has a grease nipple on.. the drivers side which seems to be ok does not. I will update the thread later this week and let you know how it goes.

My truck only has 130k on but it sat for 4 years without being moved much i think thats why its worn out this bad.. ordered one going to have ago at changing later this week i have 20t press so hopefully it wont defeat me

One of my front axle shaft u joints failed today passanger side its clonking pretty bad in 4x4... can someone help with part numbers or give me a part number on rock auto to order as there is a few sizes it has a dana 60 front end its a 99 2500. im in the UK so its easy to order from rock auto or any other recommendations on who to order from. ? it can be 'interesting' at times. But wouldn't change a thing about it. Have you seen how small our trucks are you cant even fit a motocross bike in the bed of one properly..

My truck had the superchips programmer fitted for 12 years with no gauges etc it made a nice improvement over stock. I'm in the UK and would sell if you are interested as im going to go for a iquad since im running injectors lift pump etc now. Also if you do get an iquad you can always adjust fueling so it will burn clean and is irrelevant to MOT being diesel. Also know someone else here in the UK selling a smarty so3 he wants 450 for it in new condition.

Got in my truck today and noticed immediately that my shifts had gotten softer (47re). Especially the 4-3/3-4 shift anyone know what could cause this?? Thanks

Damn i would have ordered through him if i knew there was dedicated trans guys on here ? thanks ive been doing alot of reading up and any trans guys over here havent worked on 47re abd all seem nervous so i dont trust anyone else to do it other than myself lol
