  1. how much did you pay for the mirrors? do you know if theres two sizes of this style of mirrors, long arm and short arm? Also want to get those mirrors!
  2. ok, so you play with the valve until you see the gauge move smoothly? According to the setup i have, am i correct in the way i plan to install the valve?
  3. is anybody using the autometer snubber/restrictor?
  4. thanks for the advice, i will order the isspro snubber tomorrow and see if it helps, i will post the results.
  5. just received spring from airdog about an hour ago and installed on the truck, finally i am at 17-19 psi and 15-16p psi wot. the only thing i dont like is that the marker on the gauge jumps up and down about 2 psi. is this normal?
  6. i primed the lift pump before the vp44, then opened injectors 1,3,4, and bled the system and she started. i believe its to much pressure at the vp44 plus the prime run cycle. currently 26 psi.
  7. Has anybody had issues adjusting the pressure on the airdog2/165, the instructions say 2 turns clockwise equals 15-16 psi, but my gauge says 26 psi. Trying to reduce pressure but if i go all the way counterclockwise on the airdog i only get 21 psi. Is the air dog wrong or the gauge?
  8. just finished installing my gauges and here are the readings: 23-24 psi idle / 22 psi wot. is this too much?tried adjusting my airdog, the instruction says that 2 full turns clockwise is about 16 psi, but on my gauge is 26 psi. Reduced 1 turn and have 23-24 psi. Even tried at 1/2 turn and only got 21 psi. my sensor is in line with a t fitting about a foot before the vp44. "isspro ev2 gauges". is the airdog 165 too much?
  9. thanks, i will close the hole with a threded cap, and redrill where you mentioned, i drilled in the center of the neck and the probe will be touching the divider wall inside. --- Update to the previous post... it is touching the wall
  10. today, i was going to install my thermocouple at the exhaust manifold, and drilled a hole and found out that theres a wall inside the manifold right under the center where it connects to the turbo. i tapped it but im not sure if i will get an accurate reading. Has any body had this problem? looks like the place i picked to drill the hole has a wall inside the manifold and the hole passed just next to the wall.
  11. will finish installing my triple isspro gauges tomorrow and will be getting some pressure readings. will recheck all connections as well. --- Update to the previous post... will finish installing isspro gauges tomorrow and get pressure readings. --- Update to the previous post...
  12. yes new airdog 2-165, and new vp44 from thoroughbred diesel. will finish installing my isspro gauges tomorrow and will find out pressure readings. there are no codes. --- Update to the previous post... will recheck everything tomorrow, what is the fitting on the back of the head? and wich t-fitting? --- Update to the previous post... do you mean the one inside the tank? because that is the only thing i wasn't completely satisfied installing. I did the in-tank module modifications with the kit that came with the airdog, and did not like the design of the bracket that holds the pick up tube to the basket. Since the module compresses when it goes back in the tank the bracket bends and my pick up straw is no longer straight and the 45degree cut at the bottom of the straw is now flat at the bottom of the basket. Do you think that could be the problem?
  13. Hi, just joined the forum and this is my first tread.A week ago replaced my vp44 and upgraded lift pump to airdog2-165, did everything myself and truck started right after bleeding. I've been driving the truck since i got it back running and have noticed that the truck now takes longer to start. I've been searching the internet and haven't found an aswer to my problem, finally found this forum and any help would be appreciated.
