alt went out
nope just the 1 code generator something.
-
alt went out
the only code i had was a generator code. i did not have the code you are talking about. after i changed the alt and started the truck up it was not charging. i got the smarty out and had 1 code generator something and it cleared. then i started the truck again and charge was normal. keep in mind when it quit charging i got this code and it would not clear. only after i replaced the alt.
-
alt went out
the code i had said generator something. i am still wondering if i broke down along the road if i could have changed the alt out then drove home without a tuner.
-
alt went out
i have heard this too but didnt know if it would work in this case. i do know i ran it home about 25 miles after the alt died and the battery was very weak and it was in the day time.

alt went out
my alt quit charging the other day on my 08 dodge. i replaced it and noticed the lighting bolt didnt go off when i started it up. also no charge. i got my smarty out and deleted the code. it works fine now. my question is would it ever cleared itself without the tuner deleting the codes. :banghead:

long cranking after AIRDOG INSTALL
i have saw this after a good lift pump was put on a vp truck. i talked to a fass tech years ago and he said the vp head was wore. he had me to wire the fass so it would pump with key on but not while cranking. so i ran a wire to the electric window. someguys here puts a regulator on the fuel supply. i have saw pumps run several years like this. its worth a shot to find out.

Mopar SEVERE DUTY FUEL FILTER SYSTEM
good set up.

Automatic Sliding 5th wheel hitch
i have a pullrite slider also in my mega cab. works great.

Mopar SEVERE DUTY FUEL FILTER SYSTEM
wonder why dodge dont put these on new. i been running a 3 micron afe fuel filter i sell. another note is these truck fuel tanks need a drain on the bottom. my farm tractor has a plug made right in the bottom i drain a couple times a year. they are always a little bit of water and trashy looking stuff.

Why monitor boost?
i dont really know how much diff between smarty and h&s. i know i blew my gasket on the smarty 14 me tune which was very good tune but like you said too much . i have the 22 me on it now. the later ones are still calmer. that 14 was power house though.

Why monitor boost?
i never saw a gauge on a stock truck to see for sure. i do know on my modded truck it will go way past that with a tuner fueling it. smarty has a boost fooler in it too. i do know after i blew a hg i put a make shift drive pressure gauge on the my truck. i found out that 24 lb of boost showed 24 lb of drive pressure 1 to 1 ratio. when the exhaust brake was on at about 2000 rpms the drive pressure showed 60 lb. at 32 lb of boost the drive pressure also showed about 60 lb. this is how i came up with my safe level (32 lb). the 6.7 vgt turbo is a good little fast spooling turbo but peaks out fast. this is the reason guys blows so many head gaskets. in my opinion the boost gauge is the most important on the 6.7 with the stock turbo. on the 5.9 the egt gauge is prob most important. i hope you can follow what a dumb ol man is saying

4th Gen Guys........Read This!!!!!!!
this is a very common problem with the 6.7 with the dpf. it is caused by the regen cycle that injects diesel to get the dpf burned out. when trucks are deleted no more problems. oil changes are like any other trucks after you shut down the late injection for the regen.

DIY, DPF delete, sims
we sell alot of exhausts and tuners you can run with little or no power. give me a call if i can help. thanks tony

Why monitor boost?
the 6.7 has a nice vgt turbo that does a great job. i blew a head gasket at 54k. it was because i had my smarty set to high and my right foot. the egts while towing never seem to get that high towing but the boost will get up there if your pulling hard. i run my truck when towing by the boost. i limit it to 32lb. once i reach that i back off. i hardly ever get 1100 egts. so to me on these 6.7s the boost is very important. of course this is just my opinion with little tests in a drive pressure gauge i rigged up after a hg repair.

Head Bolts "N" Studs
thanks bud. the main reason i started selling my bolts is because i got tired of guys hoping up there truck and blowing a head gasket. i deal with a lot of young guys just getting started in life. they dont want to put the money into head studs and my buddy brian who has a shop told me to sell these. i will bet he has them in hundreds of trucks. i was just like everybody else when i bought my puller. these bolts was in it. i told brian we needed to put studs in it. thats when i got his story.

Head Bolts "N" Studs
hi all. i am tony from mighty diesel. we sell alot of these bolts for the guys on a budget. we have hundreds of trucks out there with these bolts. i have them in my 97 running 60 lb with a s400. i also have them on my 08 6.7. i am getting a head ported polished and oringed for this years pulling season and a new set of bolts will go back in. we also sell arp. if i thought i was going to take my head off any more than once i would put it back with arps. the bolts just like stock are just rec. 1 time. mopar man is setting me up to be a sponsor here. i hope this sheds a little light on the bolts. thanks tony:thumb1:
