  1. I'll deduct that your drive pressures are in check by your egts. That's what tuning is all about. I'm running a TST comp, jl 8 x.010s and a smarty on my 2002, and have very little smoke.
  2. Nothing is really secure under the wrong hands. It makes me nervous thinking I will be on a wireless computer most of the time with the new job. I guess I'll talk to my bank about increasing the security of my accounts. I'll be miles from civilization for weeks at a time, and have no other choice.
  3. Since the smarty isn't for everyone I'd certainly give this a look see. I havent installed or used one myself fwiw http://www.superlift.com/accessories/truspeed.asp Now to contribute, I average just under 20mpg driving 40% city 60% highway.6 speed 4x4 315/75/16's. I do relatively short warm ups, good air pressure and always leave my house in plenty of time to reach my destination, driving habits dictate whether I get 14 mpg or 20.
  4. I agree 100 %. Im near 4* and with no steering stabilzers or sway bar I can let go of the wheel for scary long periods of time on 35's. It drives better than my non beaten 2wd.
  5. I remember that thread. After doing my own research Ive kinda figured he gave up, as the maximum power to be had is 100 hp without running a wire tap no matter what parameters you change. I guess before I start running N20 Ill just have to buy a quadzilla adrenaline since they will actually disclose timing specs. Ive had enough of things going "boom" !
  6. You call this a grey area? Its been a black hole for me. I'd love to see more information or timing tables on the 24v s. TIA
  7. Ive got a DDRP and hate it due to its pressure drop on my STOCK 99. Im waitin in line for DTT to release their mechanical lift pump, which is rumored to be cheaper than the electric pumps.
  8. Does the smarty high idle kick in if the trucks idling for a long time? Or is it just upon start up? I rarley see below 40*.
  9. Glad to hear youre makin some headway on this. Bein up in Alaska, you should look into the High Idle?
  10. Ha ha... Ive got my own flavor too... Chunky Drunkey
  11. I recently lost the motor in my 02 H.O 6spd truck. Right now Im researching prices and avalibility on just a drop in junkyard motor. (Gonna build the snot out of the original). Do I need to find another H.O. or will any 24 valve work. Mostly worried about the computerized end of the deal. Any experiences will be greatly appreciated.
  12. Your temps seem fine. With my old setup 66mm turbo 100 horse sticks TST and smarty I could lug the motor and floor it and skyrocket past 1400 or I could downshift put the hammer down and not see over 1150* empty.
