  1. I have a 1990 Cummins cannot keep a voltage regulator in it they will last for a couple of months, then will either short to ground or open up. It will either overcharge or not charge at all. I have been getting them from Napa,. Anyone with any ideas, help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Well I got my truck back today. The problem was a injector, I had put a bad one in don't know why they didn't catch it when they installed the tips. It now has a set of RV 275s in it. While it was in for repair I had the clutch replaced, leaking wheel seals replaced, valve's adjusted and transmission output seal. Getting ready to tow the RV next week to check it out. Ran great on the way home, finally no miss. The mechanic treated me good on the price. Anyone have trouble near Waynesboro PA message me and I will recommend a great desel mechanic. Thanks to Moparman1973 for taking the time and give me recommendations they were a great help. Thanks to all members for their comments they were all taken seriously
  3. Will a ECM from a same year truck automatic work in my truck to test it , mine is a manual, or will it Vin lock?

  6. I have given up on this thing, taking truck to shop in the morning. I need a truck for a trip we have planned. Hope they can find the problem. Ford is looking better every day I want to get it fixed before I do anything stupid. Thanks for your help.
  7. It was a diesel shop I think he said 230 I don't know about the flow match. I did notice while checking if you rev it to above 1500 when you let off it will miss Everytime it gets to1000 down to idle then clears up and idles great,
  8. Just had the injectors pop tested when the shop installed the new tips.
  9. Would a injector cause a miss at only 1000 to 1200 RPM? How would be the best way to find it?
  10. The injectors and crossover tubes had new o rings and washers. I got the camshaft sensor from Geno's when it was mißing before. Thought the injectors solved the problem. The pump that is on it now I think came from industrial injection,
  11. Miss came back about 3000 miles after new injectors. The pump was changed about 3 years now first one was bad from new sent it back they tested it said it was good same problem no power a lot of smoke. Needed The truck got one from a different builder been working fine. Miss started last fall.
  12. My truck has started missing again replaced the injectors thought it was fixed. Now has a miss between 1100 and1200 RPM no load. Hàve checked the Ac noise, cleaned the grounds, removed the vanaken tuner. Have a cam sensor haven't installed it yet. Don't know where to go from here, this has been going on for a while now. No codes, any help would be appreciated. It is a 1998.5 basically stock fass DDRP 15 to 17 lbs constant
  13. Got the broken one off, new one on, just need to torque it down, install the turbo and drink a beer, not a bad at all. Raining here now so I will have to drink two beers. Thanks for your help guys and gals.
  14. Got hopefully the correct manifold this time. When I drill for my EGT does that only monitor the last three cylinders 4 5 and 6?
  15. Are they the same? Just block off the EGR? The order says it is for my 24v.
  16. Got my manifold from Rockauto, can anyone tell me what the plate is for? Mine don't have this.
  17. I do have gauges, I do tow heavy 15000# rv, case 580 backhoe,. I never let the EGT get over 1200 to 1300, usually around 1000-1100 towing
  18. Ordered it from Rockauto,. $121.00 with all gaskets and bolts. Thanks for the reply. Will I have to separate the turbo from the exhaust pipe to get it out?

  20. My exhaust manifold is cracked. How hard are they to replace? Where is the best place to get one? I will go back with stock , unless that is not a good idea.
