  1. Yes it cranks great, just wont fire??
  2. I have a 98.5 which don't want to start, just replaced the IP around 5000 miles, has no codes, FP 15 WOT 17 idle, Battery's are new. No AC from the alt. I have fuel to the injectors. when it will start runs strong, idles great. Have reset the APPS, any ideas? no mods except gauges.

  4. Think it may be a injector bad? Have you had them tested?
  5. Mike, I just looked there is a vent comes out right above the starter and hangs down behind it. I guess the dealer when they had it in for a recall did the TSB. I ordered the truck special, I don't guess they would of done this at the factory. Looks like a lot of work otherwise.
  6. I didn't know about the TSB. I will chck if there is a tube by the starter. It has been in for all recalls that they send me, I sure don't remember that one. Thanks for the info
  7. My truck is a early 1998.5. It dont have a vent tube in the front of the engine (puke bottle) is this common on the first 24 v?
  8. It was really easy, just take your time. The hardest part was pulling the 125# on the shaft gear nut.
  9. Just completed the install of a VP-44 from DAP, truck fired up and runs great. Would like to thank everyone here for all the help and support, expecally the tech at DAP which was very helpful. Truck had no codes till it completly went out and only a 1689 then, missed and no power for the last 1000 miles. Hopeful it will be good for another 130000 miles.

  12. Now it will not start and I have a 1689 code, I have fuel to the pump and power to the pump, but nothing out of the injector lines.

  14. My tank is full, This just started when i filled up at AC&T should of suspected something the maintence man was working on the diesel pump.
  15. I drained about a pint out and in 2 days there is about three tablespoons of water settled to the bottom of it
  16. What is the easy to get water out of the fuel tank? without removeing the tank
  17. Just cutting on and off even misses at idle, at 50 mph it will almost jerk you out of the seat, no power, 1 gear to get the rv in to the parking lot
  18. I have a new FASS 150 and it runs 17 psi +_ 2 all the time, that is on the output of the filter, should it be higher?
  19. I have a scanner it reads both ecm and pcm codes, no codes Not sure if the vp will always give a code or just fail. right now I am grasping for straws till the weather clears a little thanks - - - Updated - - - sorry I missed about the ip on your post, I sure hope it is not the ip.
  20. I have a 1998 24 v 3500, It left me sitting on the road with a 40 ft camper . I have replaced the fuel filter, fuel presure stays around 17, there are no codes, was just wondering if it could possible be a crank shaft sensor? or any other ideas. It just keeps cutting out and back on afraid the u joints and transmission will go,thanks
