  1. Does anyone know the thread size on the VP-44 and fuel filter?
  2. Well I hate to post this my problem was the snubber valve to my gauge got closed while I was installing the injectors, was leaking slow enough to move the gauge after it ran awhile.
  3. Fuel should have been warm, it was 75deg here yesterday and today. The voltage could of been down I cracked it a bit to get it bled. Didn't know if the bigger injectors would make a difference or not. I do have a manual gauge. Thanks for the reply
  4. I just installed DAP 75HP injectors and my fuel pressure dropped from 18 psi down to 12 psi, I have a fass DDRP. After it idles about 20 minutes it will go up to around 17psi, haven't driven it yet to see if it will hold it WOT. Is this normal?
  5. No codes, ac noise is .032 hoping the injectors cure the problem. It is 12deg here now and I don't need the truck, it will be awhile. Thanks
  6. I will leave them alone. Only problem I have is a intermittent miss for the last year that I can not find. Thanks for the reply.
  7. Thanks guys I think I will just leave them alone, I didn't realize I had to remove the rockers, I have never been in there
  8. I am going to replace my injectors, should I check the torque on the head bolts?
  9. Finaly took the truck with the camper for a 1000 mile run never missed at all. Alli have done is cleaned the MAP and grounds. Did get new injectors have not put them. I did get a 0237 code with the check engine light after about 250 miles, cleared the code and it never came back. Dont know if that would of been something to cause a slight miss or not. Thanks for all the help on here I am going to call all well for now.
  10. Havent done anything withbthe truck as of yet, hopefully in the next couplee weeks. Tore my shoulder up and had tonhave surgery onit so it has been a slow year so far. We are goingbto myrtle beach next month with the rv so will find out then if it is any better.
  11. It was missing around 2200 which is about 63 mph, not sure it is a fuel leak it sit most of the winter and fired right up. I have never had the truck above 2500rpm. We are going to SC in may with the camper I will see how it runs then, hopefully it was just bad fuel. Thanks for the reply that is something to look at if the problem returns.
  12. Finally starting to warm up here, cleaned all the grounds and sensors. Still need to adjust the valves, addded 911 and new fuel took the case 580 for a ride up the mountain, in 3rd gear at 2000 rpm runs great. Still havent taken it on the interstate for a hard pull in high gear with the rv, right now all seems to be doing good. wanted to bring this thread back and let all interested know the status. Thanks again for all the input...
  13. My 98.5 has the crankcase vent on the back of the engine, l believe the lifter cover is from the early 12v engines. They used this cover on some of the first 24v engine.
  14. I did get my injectors, I hope that is al it is, my pump is new and we pulled it and sent it back they checked it and said nothing wrong. It is suppose to not get out of the 20 here this week and my old bones cannot stand that, I won't need the truck till spring anyway,, Thanks to everyone for the response...
  15. Just ordered a set of injectors, if the ice ever melts off my truck I will gt them installed and see if that makes any difference.
  16. I replaced the crank shaft sensor when I replaced the starter, it has the original cam sensor, I just replaced the IP and was told by the dealer that it was still bad sent it back and they said it tested good, charged 200.00, and now I dont know what to check. If it warms up I will pull and clean the injectors and have them poped and see if that helps.
  17. Will do I have cleaned all the sensors, don't use it much in the winter, did get a 100 gal. of fuel for the tractors and could not make it miss, of course that is not much of a load. truck it self runs great with plenty of power..Just that annoying miss under heavy load (15000#+)?
  18. Thanks will give the APPS a try I did clean the IAT sensor it was pretty dirty. I dont have the camper out now but will hook up the gooseneck and take the backhoe for a ride and see if it misses.
  19. pulled the module and boast fooler still same thing, the truck has 130000 miles about, valve cover never been off. thanks for all the input.. - - - Updated - - - just pulled the map sensor, ohmed it it reads 1.6k 40 deg out, don't know if that is good or bad. - - - Updated - - - cleaned the IAT sensor, still missing in a hard pull with load. Whare to from here??
  20. No codes, will pull module and try tomorrow, thanks
  21. I have a 4000 lb camper on the back of my 3500 ram, and in a hard pull at 2200 rpm it has a miss. I have just replaced the IP around 4000 miles. Truck has 15 lb of FP at WOT, there are no codes, My mods I have a vanaken module, boast fooler, boast elbow and a exhaust brake, could this be a bad injector or is the IP going again?
  22. I replaced mine with the kit from Genos, it was real easy and the instructions were great and easy to follow. It is a good piece of mind.
  23. My fuel basket had a arrow to align on top, dont remember it may be under the lock ring
  24. Found the leak, It was the "O" ring in my FASS DDRP. took it apart and replaced the O ring no leaks trucks starts and run's great.. Thanks for the help
  25. I believe you hit the nail on the head, I just went out and checked there is fuel all over the starter. I have a DDRP on it, when it quits snowing and warms up a little I will find the leak and fix it. I don't use the truck much in the winter just for towing a RV in the summer but I like to keep it dependable. Thanks for all the info will post up when I get it fixed.
