There is a large resistor for the blower motor. Mine had a similar issue where the blower motor only worked on one or two speeds and thought it was the motor and that didn't fix it. That resistor was bad and it worked when I replaced it. I don't remember where it's located. I'm thinking on the motor itself. Might try taking out and looking or checking a schematic or wiring diagram. I think asked the dealer where it was.

Frame 3 shows it best... to the left of the blower motor in the passenger's foot well. All you can see is the connector plug since the resistor sticks up into the duct to be cooled by airflow. I found these listed at $50.99 AutoZone # CR153 to $66 This is similar to the set up in my Cirrus... I just had to replace when mouse debris blocked the airflow. I suggest dropping the blower & checking to be sure it's clear. I haven't been able to screen the Cirrus but my 01 Dodge, but I have successfully used SS pot scrubber (just SS steel wool) stuffed behind the hood hinge to keep the mice out of the cowel where the air inlet is. Water still drains fine...Russ

I'm actually needing to replace my resistor box right now, (hopefully this week) as I only have "high" speed. Additionally, my fan/squirrel cage is squealing intermittently, so I 'may' need to replace that, if I can't knurl the cage shaft enough to hold it.

Replacement or cross-reference vehicles (if you're in to junkyarding, like I am)

RockAuto has the resistors from $33-52, and the blower motors in the mid-$50 range (no fan wheel included.)
