2004 Dodge Durango, 5.7L Hemi

Guys, I need some suggestions in order to get better fuel mileage from this vehicle. It was bought for a snow vehicle, yet the wifey wants to use it to go other places and we need to get better mileage.

Trade it in on a newer one with the MDS system and 390HP.

I'll tell ya, medic.. the hemi get better mpgs than the 4.7 does, so be thankful that's what's in it..mileage-wise, teach better driving skills, slow down on the highway, no rabbit starts/stops, etc.. They aren't known for their mizer-ness, from the get-go..

Thanks for the replies. Mainly, I was wondering if there is anything I would be able to bolt on or use a tuner to get better mileage. The wife has great driving habits, so those are good.

The Hemi is very finicky about having the spark plugs changed at the recommended interval and use only Champion plugs. They will look like brand new when replacing but from what I have read and heard can make a huge difference in engine performance and mileage.I have read very mixed reviews about the programmers for the hemi, overall there have been few reports of improved mileage.
