PROPANE INJECTION

HOW DO YOU GUYS FEEL ABOUT PROPANE INJECTION FOR FUEL MILEAGE. I AM CONSIDERING IT FOR FUEL MILEAGE, I CAN GET PROPANE FOR ABOUT $1.50 A GALLON. BESIDE THE RISK OF DRIVING AROUND WITH A BOTTLE BOLTED TO YOUR TRUCK. I KNOW THE PERFORMANCE END IS GREAT BUT IS IT WORTH THE HASSLE IN THE END.

Don't know what the propane systems cost, but if you can get propane for $1.50/gal, I'd say it'd be worth it. You've got a lot of plumbing to do though. I use propane for my portable forge and I travel with 2 40# tanks in my work trailer. That's about 20 gallons of propane if they are full. I wouldn't worry about the tanks, they're built well. Propane is costing me $3.00/gal in my parts, so it woouldn't be a good choice for me.

Propane is a very expensive kit if you buy a kit... http://www.parleysdieselperformance.com ... /BU-010800 http://www.parleysdieselperformance.com ... SELPROPANE http://lubricationspecialist.com/front/ ... gQodG1CT3Q There is a few kits for propne systems... But like dorkweed propane out here is about $2.75 to $3.00 a gallon... Not a wise choice for me either... :rolleyes
